Another good read from S&B. There are so many ways to frame this work that can create real business impact. It should come as no surprise that I like the comment on critical conversations with employees. "There are important moments with employees—if they are new to the organization, underperforming, ambitious, or looking for a change in roles—in which it’s vital to discuss and clarify strategic priorities and expectations for performance and behaviour". One of those critical conversations or moments of truth within most professional services firms is when a professional's journey starts to transition from mastering domain knowledge and utilization to growing the firm and mastering the market. My advice? Turn that critical conversation into a next-generation sales leadership program that supports both culture reinforcement and strategy execution. As my Dad use to say..."now we're cooking with gas". #salesculture #conversationalintelligence #strategy

« Does your culture fit your strategy? » - A #big #culture–strategy disconnect can be catastrophic. Only a #formalassessment based on #objectivedata can tell you if your organization is ready to transform. #Success requires #understanding and #measuring the potential disconnect between the #culture of an #organization and the #strategy under consideration. #Cultures can change, but they can’t change radically in the near term. If a #leadershipteam can determine the size of the gap between culture and strategy in advance, they can set the right level of ambition for that strategy—and increase the odds that it will succeed. ✔️Start with the data ✔️Measuring the alignment between culture and strategy ✔️Closing the gap #strategy #leadership #criticalfew #corporateculture #organizationculture #transformation #workforce 👉https://lnkd.in/e9pbyr5r

What are you doing to consciously build your team's culture 😃 - or are you leaving it up to chance? 🫤 😱 "94% of executives and 88% of employees believe a distinct workplace culture is vital for business success". This from an article published in Gulf Business by Meiraj Hussain 🎈 👏 👍 Meiraj is on the money when he identifies how important it is to focus on the intangible - culture - as equally as you do on the tangible things like financial results. "...employees, however, also place equal value on factors such as transparency, collaboration, feelings of safety and security and a shared sense of purpose and momentum". 😃 Check out the whole article from the link on his post. Thanks Meiraj for the great read!

Purpose-driven leadership is about creating value that extends beyond the bottom line. It’s about fostering a culture that inspires and motivates employees, builds trust with customers, and contributes positively to society. 🌍 Here’s why purpose-driven leadership matters: 👥 Employee Engagement: When employees understand and align with the organisation’s purpose, they are more engaged, motivated, and committed to their work. ❤️ Customer Loyalty: Customers are increasingly choosing brands that stand for something meaningful. A clear, authentic purpose can strengthen customer loyalty and differentiate your brand. 🌱 Sustainable Growth: Purpose-driven companies are better positioned for long-term success because they build resilient, adaptable, and ethical business practices. To lead with purpose, we need to: 🔍 Articulate a Clear Vision: Define what your organisation stands for and communicate it consistently across all levels. 🛠 Embed Purpose in Strategy: Integrate your purpose into your business strategy, decision-making processes, and daily operations. 🚀 Lead by Example: Demonstrate your commitment to the organisation’s purpose through your actions and leadership style. 🤝 Engage Stakeholders: Involve employees, customers, and partners in your purpose-driven journey to build a community of advocates. The impact of purpose-driven leadership is profound and far-reaching. It’s about creating a legacy that transcends financial success and contributes to a better world. 🌟 #PurposeDrivenLeadership #Leadership #CorporateCulture #EmployeeEngagement #CustomerLoyalty #SustainableGrowth #BusinessStrategy

Say what! Aligned board members, focused CEOs and motivated team members... This is the dream. Well, I can make that happen 😉 👇 I love facilitating workshops and developing brand strategies because I know the positive impact it has on my clients. 💃 In oh so many ways. For me though it’s the energy and motivation that comes out of the workshops, I love the discussions, ideas and collaboration that happen over just a few hours. When I work with you, I adapt to your needs, teams and business. A little insight into how I can help your business and elevate that brand of yours… 👫 First, I work closely with key stakeholders such as board members and CEOs. We dive deep into the vision, mission, and values of the business. This helps everyone align and sparks meaningful conversations about the future. 👯♀️ Then, if you are a larger organisation, I conduct larger workshops with the entire team. We discuss their perceptions of the brand, the values, and much more. This process brings everyone onto the same page, making decision-making easier and boosting motivation. This can also help me to develop a strong Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for your business that looks towards the culture and offering for your employees. 💬 My approach is flexible – I have a framework, but I adapt as conversations evolve. This keeps everyone engaged and invested. 💫 The results? Inspired teams, clear direction, and a unified vision. Plus, I can provide a written brand strategy guide and an employee handbook to keep everyone aligned, including new hires. I’ve seen firsthand how these workshops can transform a business. If you want to know more about my workshops then drop me a line anytime. #BrandStrategy #TeamAlignment #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement #BusinessGrowth

1wGreat article and commentary Doug! I had a profound learning moment with Michael Baran, PhD a couple of years ago when he asked our team to reflect on our "norms" of working together and then asked us how new people come to learn those norms. Critical conversations play a key role in strategy activation.
