🚀 How did the COVID-19 pandemic impact web accessibility in higher education? 🚀 The pandemic forced universities to transition rapidly to online learning, revealing a crucial issue: web accessibility for students with disabilities. 🌐 🔍 Our recent study evaluates the accessibility of university homepages from 2018 to 2024, following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. 📊 The findings are revealing: 📈 Initial Improvement: Universities quickly improved web accessibility at the pandemic's onset. 📉 A Decline in Progress: Unfortunately, these efforts have not been sustained. Why does this matter? 🔑 Web accessibility is vital for inclusive education.
