I've been pretty quiet lately. Not for lack of having something to share; quite the opposite. 🎤 Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can announce I will be one of the speakers tomorrow at 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐦 - the first conference ever organized by ProductTank Bucharest, the Romanian Product Community. I chose the topic of 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐬, as I believe these will become more important in the future. With everyone having what feels like an infinite* number of choices for almost anything, what compliments the product can become a decisive criterion. Like all the interactions before, during and after the acquisition and usage. *𝑂𝑘, 𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑑𝑒𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑢𝑠 ℎ𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑒. Hi LinkedIn! 👋 💡 This week's Tanuvi's Tuesday thought, is centred about how your bring new users on that product development journey with you? 💡 The conundrum of whether to offer a free pilot or not, is something that many product professionals battle with? 🤔 ⚖️ On one side, you want as many people to try, test and feedback on the new product or feature, however on the other you don't want to devalue your offering. For me, the answer, is a combination.: 1️⃣ Target the ideal users in a small sample group, ideally they are users who are receptive to trying new things (that might not be perfect yet) and genuinely want you to find a solution to their pain point. Your true early adopters! 2️⃣ Ask them for feedback, iterate and repeat. 3️⃣ Extend your pilot group, building on relationships where users already know who you are, and ideally even use another product/feature. 4️⃣ Keep your user group updates and let them be your advocates. Through careful prioritization, we’ve identified core features that directly address the most pressing user needs. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 (𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱): 1. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗻: Solves the pain point of navigating event-specific options by letting users easily access concert-related transport options with a single tap. 2. 𝗢𝗻-𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲: Provides pre-booked shuttle options for groups, enabling a smoother experience for attendees while reducing congestion. 3. 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗽: Introduces a capped fare structure, ensuring concert-goers don’t face excessively high costs, leading to a more positive user experience. 4. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗨𝗽 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀: Designates clear pick-up and drop-off hubs around the venue to streamline traffic flow and reduce waiting times. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱: We used a 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘 (𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁) scoring model, focusing on features with high reach and impact. This helped us prioritize solutions that provide immediate and significant value during peak event times. ❌ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁: - 𝗩𝗜𝗣 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺: Though valuable, it requires additional infrastructure and won’t fit in the initial MVP. - 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 & 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Currently deprioritized to focus on core event-related transportation needs. While yesterday we laid the groundwork, today, we’re cranking up the innovation dial to 11!🔍 On today’s playlist, we did quite some remixing of User Personas: We’re diving into the minds of our concert-goers, crafting personas that resonate in sync to the real scenarios. Understanding their needs will help us create a seamless experience that hits all the right notes! Following which, partnering with Uber and local transport authorities to orchestrate a symphony of transportation solutions for the Coldplay concerts would be the next important task. Think of it as a harmonious blend of rideshare and public transport, all in perfect sync! We’re brainstorming out-of-the-box strategies to manage that surge in demand without missing a beat.
