💥The power of branding in the metaverse Within 24h almost 300k visitors for HUGO on Roblox , I’m checking it out now and it’s unreal 👏🏻 Brands need to prioritize building in the metaverse in 2024+ especially for younger, #genzmarketing audiences. 🚨Anyone in web3 that doesn’t know what the metaverse is, there’s a simple fix. I had no idea what the metaverse was when I started working at IMVU (1M+ DAU metaverse). The best advice I ever received was this: GO IN AND MAKE FRIENDS. Even simpler…. Spend 30 mins of your day: 1. log into Roblox 2. create your avatar 3. explore some rooms 4. make (1) friend … that’s it!

HUGO enters Roblox!   We are building our HUGO universe within the biggest Metaverse platform (it is way more than "just" a gaming environment). Last week, we launched PLANET HUGO, an ecosystem of unique, interconnected experiences and a completely new way to approach entering Roblox. PLANET HUGO’s first two worlds are:   1) HUGO HANGOUT: An innovative shopping experience which will provide an ever-changing home for our digital wearables, events and player loyalty rewards. Reach the top of our obby to join the launch party, acquire badges and create sharable moments. The creative direction was borrowed from the look and feel of our physical HUGO BLUE launch event which took place on the same day. 2) HUGO FASHION MATCH: A social styling experience that presents an incredible opportunity to put HUGO BLUE’s denim-focused fashion offering in the spotlight and bring people together through co-creation, allowing them to form new, meaningful friendships. Kind of Omegle-style, but with a big focus on fashion!   Next to being the connecting tissue between our experiences, PLANET HUGO itself offers gamification elements, such as a scavenger hunt and plenty of breath-taking selfie spots - a beautiful world with denim at the core highlighting the DNA of our new brand line HUGO BLUE.   With more than 100k organic visitors in less than 24hours (as of the timing of this post, we are close to 300k), we see the power of the platform and the immense amount of players looking for amazing experiences - which I believe we created 😎   It has been a massive project and will not slow down so soon - a new universe is not being built in a day (take that Thanos!). Big kudos to our Avengers:   Karta (Erik Londré 🔜GDC, Tomi Tikkala, Michael Fuxborg): the wizards behind our experiences and responsible for bringing so much love and creativity into every single detail. GEEIQ (Emmy Pollock, Barney Lynch, Alex Manville-Hales): our extended team and for sure part of our HUGO family by now - all of this would not have been possible without you. Roblox (Winnie Burke, Alexandra Roberts, Pari McIntyre, Jessica Meehan): part of the crazy success of Roblox and helping hand to bring HUGO to the platform. These striking results don't come from branding in the metaverse directly, rather from HUGO's overall brand strength :) but ofc it's great that they launched this initiative.
