Many creators start building podcasts, but the media company owns all the IP. This essentially means that creators are stuck in a tough spot. They want to keep building the show and get paid fairly, but the deeper they go, the more they realise the media company can basically take it all away at any time. Trust me, this happens way more often than people think. So when we came up with the idea for The Fellas Studios , we knew that there had to be a better way. That's when we came up with the shared destiny model, where both the creator and the production company win. The idea? Split everything and be completely transparent about it. We take on the production costs, bring our expertise to the table, and make sure the show performs at its strongest. This model allows us to scale shows beyond just a couple of seasons and build something truly sustainable. And the beauty of it is, if the podcast does well, everyone wins. It all comes down to aligning incentives and looking at the long-term potential - tours, merch, subscriptions. So much more than just a podcast. That’s how we’re approaching building brands that last.

"When there is not a rhythm there is a treadmill". This statement from Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky in the last 6 mins of a podcast really struck me this morning. He was talking about the importance of rhythms in organisations, that good organisations create focus, alignment and shared effort through organisational rhythms. In organisations who don't, it's literally like being on a treadmill, a grind, with so many priorities and urgent things that it can be hard to see the wood for the trees. I find it most common to see organisations 'grinding' on a treadmill, trying to do everything at once and wearing people down, rather than prioritising. What do you see?
