Fluency Isn’t Just About Fancy Words—It’s About Getting Stuff Done Right and Fast ⚡ Okay, let’s be real: getting something right once is cool, but doing it right quickly and consistently? That’s next-level. Fluency means your learners can do the thing without taking a snack break every five minutes. Think of it as the difference between ‘I can tie my shoes’ and ‘I own tying my shoes.’ 😉 Fluency builds retention and generalization, and let’s face it—makes us look like rockstar BCBAs. 👉🏻 Feeling like a fluency expert? Share this post with a fellow BCBA who could use a reminder that fast AND accurate is where it’s at. 💪⚡

"Knowledge only becomes power when you apply it." For example: Learning a new language takes more than just studying books and listening to lessons. It’s when you take that first step—whether it’s chatting with locals, traveling, or putting your skills to the test—that true fluency begins. 🌍✨ Apply everything you learn, so theory will turn into real knowledge. Share with me anything you learnt lately and how did you apply it practically.

🔥Hot tip for language teachers: stop stressing about finding your niche and start worrying about wtf is your students’ problem. In the most loving way: what is up with them? What keeps them up at night? Wtf is their problem? They’re probably not worried about ‘business English’ or if they are B1 or C1 level. They are worried about if they’ll understand their boss’s weird accent in tomorrow’s meeting, if they can adequately explain their kid’s fussy eating to the doctor, or if they finally get the caption right on social media first time. Find that problem, and help solve it and you’ll never worry about your niche again Let’s talk about this in my workshop next Wednesday 4th December: ‘how to find your first student who is not your aunty Mary’ https://lnkd.in/gDVxXqE8 See you there #earnlearnthrive

On the subject of emails, I get several questions from my students regarding tone, meaning, and what is appropriate and not appropriate. Don't feel alone! Remember, second language learning is a process. When you need fast results to solve a particular requirement, you must focus sharply on your area of need - going too wide loses your focus and can overwhelm you. Here is an example: A Student needed to respond to 100 or so emails in English every day, but was unsure of etiquette and appropriateness. Here is an example for you to have a look at.
