Redirecting Spotlight: Marc Coleman: The Big Heart Behind Unleash I have lots of love for Marc - he’s Irish with a lovely accent and very tall. Plus, he has a huge heart and prioritizes his family - my kind of man and friend. If you're going to #UnleashWorld for the first time, here's why I love UNLEASH. It's because it’s not only about #HRTech but because it balances presentations and panels on the tech stuff with heart sessions. The heart sessions get to why we need to implement technology and change better to create the best possible #futureofwork. I also love Marc as he thrives on making people happy at Unleash with lots of celebrations and fun stuff – his team gives high fives as we all parade out of the show, for example. Most importantly, each year, Unleash has sessions that make us think about using our hearts in our work - using our passions to be better people. Remember the talks by the Buddhist monk and Jacques Clousteau’s daughter? I always left Unleash reconfirming why I do what I do and committed to do it better. His choices come from his understanding that family is important and that really, we are all one family, all intending to do the best we can. I say this because I watch not only what he creates with Unleash, but what he does with his family and friends. Case in point – he made time to meet with me and my husband in Ireland when we were there last month. He had traveled there from his home to take care of his Mum and he made time to reconnect and give us #bighugs. Another case in point - he missed one of his Unleash events to focus on his family’s needs. #Familyfirst! His advice is great for everyone and particularly for those aspiring to be entrepreneurs and to grow their organizations. For example, #3. Focus and Prioritization: Don’t try to do too much too soon. Perfect your core offering before expanding. And, there's more.
