Retargeting is where the 💰 is. Every expert running LinkedIn ads kept banging on about how you lose money on the cold layer (audience seeing your ad for the first time). Then get it back on the retargeting campaign. It felt too simplistic until I tested it myself. We launched a retargeting campaign for the client on Monday and landed the first sign-up on the same day. The CTR is 2.2% on the retargeting layer. Crazy. This is a simple retargeting of the audience that engaged with the cold layer campaign we ran last month. We want to run website visitor retargeting, but not enough matched audience there yet. My conclusion, listen to your network, but validate. Retargeting indeed is where the money is.
