We just finished our Kaiser Permanente National Nursing Conference, where: - We celebrated our National Nursing Award winners: Pamela Spain for Friend of Nursing Elizabeth Scriven, BSN, RN, GERO-BC for Professional Development Heaven Holdbrooks for Quality, Safety, and Experience Dr. Lina Kawar for Research and EBP - Our nurses presented 98 posters enterprise-wide - 90% of which reduced adverse patient outcomes on their units or hospitals - 10% improved nurse outcomes - (FYI in many correlational studies, nursing satisfaction is directly related to patient satisfaction)- yes get those stars up! - We heard some inspirational speakers remind us of so many truths and shared their stories. - More posts from me about this in the upcoming days - You can’t get CE Contact hours by seeing my posts, but Kaiser Permanente nurses, you have 60 days to view sessions and earn them! It’s so important to celebrate the amazing work our nurses do, at the front line, in leadership, in leadership roles, quality / performance improvement, informatics, technology, research, evidence-based practice, and more. We celebrate you and for all you do for our members and communities. #leadership #nurses #nurseleaders #nursing #CNOs #CNO #executiveleadershipforhealthcare #KaiserPermanentenursing #KPNurse #KaiserPermanente #nursing #nurses #NationalNursingConference #CelebrateNurses #DaisyAwardWinners #nursingresearch #nursescientist #professionalPM #research #celebrations #GoNurses #Healthcare

In the world of nursing, being a skilled listener is an invaluable asset. It’s not just about hearing words; it’s about understanding the story and emotions behind them. 🌟👂❤️ As you listen, you’re offering more than your ears – you’re offering your heart and your understanding. This ability enhances patient trust, improves care outcomes, and fosters better teamwork. Remember, each patient's story and each colleague's insight contribute to your nursing wisdom. Keep nurturing this vital skill, as it is key to compassionate and effective nursing. #nurselife #nursing #studentnurse #nursingstudent #nurseappreciation #newgradrn #registerednurse #nurse #nursingschool #nursewellness

Lessons We Can Learn from Nursing Professionals Last week, we had the privilege of training these wonderful nursing students at the Narnarayan Sastri Institute of Nursing. While interacting with them I learnt a lot from them: Compassionate Care: Nurses treat patients with kindness and empathy during their most vulnerable moments, showing us the profound impact of genuine care. Resilience in Adversity: Nurses face challenging situations daily yet continue to provide exceptional care, teaching us the strength of the human spirit and the importance of perseverance. Dedication to Lifelong Learning: Constantly updating their knowledge, nurses emphasize the importance of continuous education and adaptability in any profession. Teamwork and Collaboration: Nursing requires seamless teamwork, highlighting the value of working together, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another to achieve common goals. Advocacy for Patients: Nurses advocate for their patients' needs and rights, reminding us to use our voices for positive change and to stand up for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Emotional Intelligence: Managing their own emotions while providing support to patients and families, nurses demonstrate the importance of empathy, patience, and understanding. Commitment to Service: Nurses often sacrifice personal time to care for others, inspiring us to contribute to our communities and reinforcing that true fulfillment comes from serving others. #nurses #nursingtraining #nurserespect
