Think choosing the hottest new tech stack is your key to success? At Quarry, we've seen countless businesses fall into the trap of chasing shiny objects, only to end up with a tangled mess of incompatible systems and skyrocketing maintenance costs. Ouch. Here's the counterintuitive truth: Sometimes, the "boring" choice is the smartest one. That tried-and-true CMS or programming language? It might just be your ticket to long-term stability and scalability. Why does this matter? Because today, agility is everything. The wrong tech decisions can anchor your business down, while the right ones propel you forward. Don't let FOMO drive your tech decisions. Focus on your business goals, not fleeting trends. Ready to make tech choices that actually serve your bottom line? Let's talk. Quarry's expertise cuts through the hype to deliver solutions that grow with you.

When building a tech stack, is everyone thinking ahead to what they will need, or are you adding to your stack based only on immediate need? And to further that, are you researching and getting what is going to last you and be the most effective tech for that job?

The next edition of the Web3 Growth Landscape is coming soon! This year we'll include a post-mortem on the first wave of web3 growth companies (2022-2023). If we've learned anything from these pioneering builders, it's this: "You can be right about where the world is headed in 10 years, but if you're a few years too early, you may not make it." Our post mortem is a story about those first two years. We'll also unveil the new categories and companies we're excited about for Wave 2 (2024-2025). There are many new builders entering the growth space with fresh takes on the infrastructure needed to grow. If you know a company that should be included, tag them to be included in our next ecosystem market map!

𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞! Last month, I launched a LinkedIn Newsletter focused on helping engineers grow in their careers. I’m thrilled to share that 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 4 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬, 𝐰𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 3𝐤+ 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬! However, after testing the waters, we’ve made the decision to transition to a more specialized platform: Why the switch? LinkedIn’s newsletter platform, while great for visibility, lacks the flexibility and features we need, like collaboration options and integration with external tools. Substack offers the versatility we need to provide even more value to our growing community. What’s next? On Substack, we’ll be diving even deeper into topics like career growth, interview preparation, and industry knowledge. Our mission remains the same: to share insights and wisdom that help engineers thrive. 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤: 𝐡𝐭𝐭𝐩𝐬://𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐛.𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤.𝐜𝐨𝐦/ Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and supported this journey. Stay tuned—bigger and better content is coming your way!

What indicates to you that someone’s going to be a bad customer? Yesterday I met someone who would’ve been a terrible customer, every now and again it happens. But what’s specific to you when you speak to someone that you know you don’t want to work with? Haggle on price? Walk away & know your worth What’s your tech stack? Why’s it relevant, I’m the tech guy. You don’t ask your electrician which lightbulbs they use Poor attitude? Some people really aren’t working with, enjoy who you spend your time with and appreciate what you do What’s some red flags that would make you turn business away? Ps. Turning business down is a sign of positive growth, don’t be desperate and know your worth The photo isn’t relevant, but posts always seem to get more likes when there is one so here it is 👇

If you are a designer or a developer, and building something as a side project then you must read this 👇 Why do most of us build side projects? 1. To solve our own problems and we can do something similar for a few others. 2. To showcase our work and skills. 3. To start some side income or potentially a full-fledged product. The biggest question that comes after building a side project is how to show it to the world. How will I find people to check my side project? You can send the link to your friends and post about it online, but that will not guarantee that people will check that and give you feedback. We faced this exact problem while we were building Peerlist in its very early days. And hence, to solve it for everyone, there is a dedicated page for this Project Spotlight - A weekly launchpad for your side projects! Here, you can launch your side projects and showcase them to the world. Peerlist now is a community of 65k+ developers and designers. So you will be launching your project in front of a relevant audience and hence you will end up receiving a lot of feedback and some early adoptors. Not only this, many recruiters and hiring managers are active on Peerlist so you never know, you will end up getting an amazing opportunity because of showcasing your real work!! But what if I don't have any ideas about what to build? Check Peerlist Project Spotlight again! See what ideas resonate with you and build something similar. There are already 1000+ projects launched, so you will not end up disappointed for sure. And where to check all this? I am sharing a link in the comments → On this note, Monday is the launch day of Peerlist Project Spotlight. So if you are reading this on Monday, go and hit that launch button!!! #building #sideprojects
