Well still putting myself out there and looking for something new at the hardest part of the year, but as key part of being a dev is building new skills so its been a good week learning/expanding my typescript knowledge and making good progress with my own prototype component library. #Nuxt #histoire #Vue #Webdeveloper #frontend #typescript #development #learningjourney [Check out my progress here: histoire-4ai.pages.dev]

After years diving into the most niche parts of back-end engineering, optimisation and DevOps practices as part of building AI-based security solutions , I decided to have some fun and go back to the very basics and try and build and deploy a simple personal website from the ground up. It was an interesting experience, one that I will definitely seek out again soon! Check out my personal website, www.takushumba.com Not yet compatible for mobile, and some pages are yet to have content. That’s what CI/CD is for! Here is a summary of the stack. 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 - Django (Python) - SQL(SQLite) 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 - HTML - CSS - JavaScript 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 - Git 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - Pythonanywhere - Lets Encrypt (SSL/HTTPS)

🚀 Power of Microfrontends with Angular and React Using Single-SPA and Module Federation 🚀 In today’s fast-paced development landscape, flexibility and scalability are critical. That’s where microfrontends shine, allowing teams to independently develop, deploy, and manage their applications. But how do you seamlessly integrate frameworks like Angular and React in the same app? 🔗 Single-SPA comes to the rescue by orchestrating multiple frameworks within one application, ensuring they load only when necessary. Angular’s robust form handling and React’s dynamic UI capabilities can coexist in perfect harmony, providing the best of both worlds. ⚙️ Enter Webpack Module Federation a game-changer that enables Angular and React microfrontends to share code, dependencies, and components on the fly. This not only reduces redundancy but also optimizes performance, cutting down bundle sizes and ensuring each microfrontend works efficiently. 💡 Why they work so well together: Independent Development: Teams can work on Angular and React microfrontends separately, with their own pipelines, without worrying about integration headaches. Code Reusability: Shared components and libraries are easily reused between frameworks, speeding up development. Seamless UX: Thanks to Single-SPA’s routing and dynamic loading, users experience fluid transitions between microfrontends, no matter the framework. Faster Deployments: With independent CI/CD pipelines for each microfrontend, teams can deploy updates quickly and reduce downtime. Combining Single-SPA and Module Federation paves the way for scalable, future-proof front-end architectures. Ready to take your frontend development to the next level? 🔗 Check out this article for a deeper dive into how Angular and React microfrontends work together using Single-SPA and Module Federation: https://lnkd.in/gcMNkMBg #Microfrontends #Angular #React #SingleSPA #ModuleFederation #FrontendDevelopment #Scalability #WebDevelopment #PerformanceOptimization

As I continue to develop an Open Source Feedback platform for fun, learning new technical things along the way, applying recently learned lessons from my 9-5 work and giving it a shot to make it useful for people, I continue to believe going for a Commercial Open Source Software is the safest, collaborative efficient and transparent way anyone can navigate towards creating a startup. It seems to have a lot of the upsides and very little of the downsides. Anyway, keeping at it at https://props.to 🙏

Built a Medium-Like Blog Application: Leveraging Modern Web Technologies Introduction Recently, I undertook a project to hone my web development skills by creating a Medium-like application. This endeavor provided an opportunity to explore serverless backend development, connection pooling, and seamless frontend-backend integration using state-of-the-art technologies. Here’s a concise overview of the project and its key accomplishments. Project Highlights #Frontend Development: Employed React and Tailwind CSS: Developed a responsive and dynamic user interface using React styled with Tailwind CSS to achieve a sleek and contemporary aesthetic. #User Authentication: Leveraged Zod Validation and JWT: Implemented robust form validation using Zod and secured user authentication via JWT for streamlined login processes. #Serverless Backend: Utilized Cloudflare Workers: Deployed a scalable serverless backend on Cloudflare Workers, ensuring optimal performance and minimal latency. Advanced features like auto-scaling were implemented to manage varying workloads efficiently. #Database Management: Optimized with Prisma Accelerate and Neon DB: Leveraged Prisma Accelerate for efficient database queries and Neon DB for reliable data storage management, enhancing backend operations. #Deployment Strategy: Frontend deployed on Vercel: Utilized Vercel’s robust deployment infrastructure to host the frontend application, supporting modern web frameworks and ensuring reliability. Backend hosted on Cloudflare: Deployed the backend on Cloudflare Workers, leveraging their global network to enhance performance and reliability. #Additional Technologies: TypeScript: Implemented static typing to enhance code quality and maintainability. Integrated React Hot Toast: Incorporated for elegant and customizable notifications. I used Hono and Wrangler: I employed Hono for serverless application development and Wrangler for seamless management of Cloudflare Workers deployments. Conclusion The development of this Medium-like application has significantly refined my web development skills and deepened my familiarity with advanced technologies. By deploying the front end on Vercel and the back end on Cloudflare Workers, alongside efficient database management using Prisma and Neon DB, I’ve established a robust foundation for future projects. Notably, the project includes sophisticated features such as auto-scaling, demonstrating its capability to manage dynamic workloads effectively. Please visit the deployed frontend of this project at Medium Frontend.
