🕒 Feeling Overwhelmed by Time Constraints? You're Not Alone, CPAs! As a CPA, you're no stranger to the relentless ticking of the clock, especially during the hectic tax season. Balancing client meetings, financial audits, and endless paperwork can often leave you feeling like there simply aren't enough hours in the day. But fear not, because you're not alone in this struggle! Many of your fellow CPAs face similar challenges when it comes to managing their time effectively. Here are a few strategies to help you reclaim control over your schedule and make the most of your valuable time: 1. Prioritize Your Tasks: Take a moment to assess your workload and identify the most critical tasks that require your immediate attention. By prioritizing your tasks, you can focus your energy on what matters most and avoid getting bogged down by less urgent matters. 2. Delegate Whenever Possible: Don't be afraid to delegate tasks that can be handled by other members of your team or outsourced to external professionals. By delegating administrative tasks like bookkeeping, you can free up valuable time to focus on more strategic aspects of your work. 3. Embrace Technology Solutions: Explore accounting software and technology solutions that can streamline your workflow and automate repetitive tasks. From cloud-based bookkeeping platforms to time-tracking apps, leveraging technology can help you work more efficiently and effectively. 4. Set Boundaries: Learn to say no to tasks or commitments that don't align with your priorities or time constraints. Setting boundaries around your time and energy is essential for maintaining a healthy work-life balance and avoiding burnout. 5. Schedule Regular Breaks: Remember to take breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge. Stepping away from your work, even for just a few minutes, can help boost productivity and creativity when you return. Remember, managing time effectively is not about doing more in less time, but rather about prioritizing your tasks and focusing on what truly matters. By implementing these strategies, you can take control of your schedule and achieve greater balance and productivity in your work as a CPA. Got any time-saving tips of your own to share? Here's how you can go from exhausted to a very demure & organized accountant in a snap 💅 👇 -> Ditch the sticky notes. Just do it. Those little squares aren’t helping you stay organized; they’re multiplying your stress. -> Automate everything. Stop tracking tasks manually and start automating your processes. This will allow you to spend more time getting actual work done and less time remembering what needs to be done. -> Declutter your space. Organized files, organized mind. Automation helps you keep everything in one place so nothing slips through the cracks. -> Get back in control. Workflow automation can transform the way you handle tasks, clients, and deadlines—making you go from frazzled to organized faster than you think. -> Kick multitasking out Jumping between tasks isn’t a badge of honor—it’s a productivity killer. Focus on one task at a time, and you’ll find your stress levels dropping as your efficiency soars. -> Set boundaries and stick to them Boundaries are your best friend, especially during tax season. Block out dedicated work hours, set expectations with clients, and make time for yourself. With a few simple changes, you can trade the stress and hustle for calm and control. It’s time to work smarter, save your energy, and finally feel like the organized pro you’ve always wanted to be. Ready to make the switch? Attention new employees: Lots of people are starting new jobs this time of year, here are some tips. There is a fine line between asking too many questions, and not asking enough. It's a really hard balance to learn, and it takes time. Here are some suggestions: ➡ Before you ask questions, take a minute to think if you have done this before. ➡ Even if you are asking a question, try to come up with the correct answer solution, first ➡ Take notes, in whatever format works best for you, so you don't need to ask the same question multiple times ➡ When in doubt about an important item, always ask. Do you have anything else to add to make this a #realclear list? ----------------------------------- Real Clear Solutions provides outsourced real estate bookkeeping, accounting and reporting services Follow or Ring the Bell 🔔 so you can see all of my content.

If you’ve got the Sunday Scaries again, you probably should read this… Some people are telling me it must be scary to walk away from a job to start building my bookkeeping business. Sure…starting over is scary. 🤷🏽♀️ But here are some reasons why it was even scarier to stick around in corporate: 1️⃣ Sometimes worked until 3:00 am or even pulled all-nighters to meet audit and financial reporting deadlines. 2️⃣ Underpaid, unappreciated, and tired of being taken advantage of. 3️⃣ Concerns about continued unfair treatment…given what’s coming in January, employee rights are in jeopardy. 4️⃣ Corporate politics, bullies, and other toxic people. 5️⃣ Was facing 4 hour per day commutes again after being 100% remote for almost 5 years. If you’re like me… ➡️ You have already worked really hard for other people for years. ➡️ You have helped filthy rich people get even more filthy rich at your expense. ➡️ You often ran yourself into the ground for people who only saw you as employee #47387. Etc, etc. Imagine what we could accomplish if more of us applied some of our efforts to working for ourselves. 🤷🏽♀️ Maybe now the idea of being your own boss is sounding a little less scary. 🤔 You do have options. If you are able, it is up to you to grab one. I’m officially launching my bookkeeping business January 2025.

This Simple Change Helped Me Land One of My Biggest Clients (And It Can Help Your Accounting Firm Too): I added a one-time service where I help accountants become more profitable by tweaking their pricing. Here’s how it works: → Low-cost, low-commitment service attracts accounting firms. → They like our work. → If the value proposition & personality fit strikes, we propose long-term commitment and become their offshore partner. The biggest challenge when you have clients without referrals is the lack of trust and familiarity. A one-time service solves this problem. It offers a low-risk, low-commitment way for potential clients to experience the value and expertise your firm can deliver. How you can benefit from a one-time service offering: → You can assess the client’s challenges, responsiveness, and any potential red flags. → Attract new clients who hesitate to switch accountants. → Showcase your firm's benefits and insights. → Identify good-fit clients and work with them for a better bottom line. What can be a one-time service for your accounting firm? → It shouldn't take too much of your time. → Typically in the 3-figure range. → Highlights your expertise. Example: Create projections or budgeted financials. To make the one-time service less hectic, implement automation for scheduling and payment. Try this approach and see the difference it makes for your accounting firm. Start small, scale up, and watch your client list grow! P.S. If you need someone to solve capacity issues at your firm, I can help.
