After a fruitful week in Milton Keynes in the heart of F1 racing teams, we are thrilled to share with you our latest video "Motorsport Meets Space Engineering!" 🚀 👉 🏎 This video is the result of over two years of collaboration between OPTRION, V2i s.a. and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe within the frame of a European Space Agency - ESA technolgy transfer program. During this time we worked at transfering ST (#shearography) and #EMA (Experimental Modal Analysis) from the aerospace sector and adapt these techniques to the specific requirements of high level #motorsport. Within the U-Agree project, we would like to build an integrated risk model to make sure unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) can soar while keeping everyone safe, secure, and happy (yes, even your privacy and the environment!). Think of it as the ultimate air traffic bouncer, ensuring smooth skies ahead. 🚁 #HeliExpo2024 came to end ! The lights have shaded over the Anaheim convention center, we packed the exhibitions stuffs back ! That’s a wrap ! Again a G.R.E.A.T. edition .. lots of contacts and discussions, some scheduled and some totally unexpected but promising ! Lots of friends seen again as well, sometime back to yeaars … ! That’s not the least as our community is passionnate and passionating … Would be much too long … and anyway restrictive to name them but for the show, hats off to James Viola, Nicole Battjes, Thierry Couderc, Fredrik Kämpfe 🟢 etc. but also Frank Dr. Liemandt / Charles Popper / Katie White preparing EUROPEAN ROTORS ! Almost sold out ! Well done … One thing I noticed : the growing offering of firefighting equipment ! It’s welcomed to win the war against wildfires to insure a rapid and efficient vertical attack, awaiting heavier waterbombers ! Time is then of essence and helicopters may make the difference ! It’s also a matter of sustainability as we should protect our nature !! Last but not least … thrilled to see our EMAs flying soon on two new and major disruptive programs … one rotary wings and … one on fixed wings to avoid any jalousy ;) Together we are building the future of a greener and cleaner aviation: our fault-tolerant and high-density / high-perf electric actuators are intrinsically saving weight while allowing a better monitoring and dispatch availability… challenges are numerous but we prove that we can tackle them, even on most critical functions : #swashplate, tilting mechanisms, landing and braking, flight controls, FLIR and search gimbals … Any doubts ?! Yesterday was a challenging day at the GMV OPEN DAY in Portugal with the visit from the Núcleo de Estudantes de Engenharia Aeroespacial do Técnico - AeroTéc.🌟👩🚀 The students had the chance to dive deeper into GMV, with presentations from each department showcasing our most innovative projects, the technologies shaping the future, and the opportunities waiting for curious and passionate minds. In the end, there was a chance to learn more about all the work done by the Núcleo. 🚀 RED - Rocket Experiment Division - a multiple award-winning group, designs, builds, tests, and launches rockets for scientific and educational purposes. 🛩️ATLAS - Systems & Aeronautics focuses on the design and construction of optimized aircraft with autonomous capabilities and vision systems. #openday #aerotec #aerospace
