Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first H160 for the energy sector in Latin America to GDHF to serve Omni Helicopters International (OHI) through its affiliate Omni Táxi Aéreo for their offshore operations in Brazil. This technologically-advanced and cost-effective helicopter is the first of its kind for this mission segment in the region. The H160 is ideally suited for the demanding mission needs of offshore operations, thanks to its reduced fuel consumption, large cabin, and excellent cockpit visibility. This is the first helicopter of the comprehensive 50 H160 deal between Airbus Helicopters and GDHF. #AirbusHelicopters #H160 #MakingMissionsPossible #Offshore

We may have just wrapped up EURONAVAL, but we still have more exciting news to share! The NH90 Sea Tiger has just completed its flight test campaign, which took the helicopter to the Mediterranean in France and to the North Sea in Germany, where the NH90 Sea Tiger has already been operated from its future base, the German Navy's Nordholz station. In total, more than 140 flight hours have been logged over the past 11 months, and all of the helicopter's capabilities have been confirmed. The first delivery is scheduled for next year. The Sea Tiger is the latest version of the proven NH90 NFH (Naval Version). It has been specifically designed to match the needs of the German Navy for a state of the art anti-submarine warfare helicopter. Novelties include a new Electro-Optical System and improved Electronic Support Measures (ESM). On top, the Sea Tiger is equipped with a dipping sonar, sonobuoys, and weapons (torpedoes and missiles). The shipborne Sea Tigers’ missions include, in addition to reconnaissance and transport, engaging targets above and below the surface. #AirbusHelicopters #NH90 #Bundeswehr #Euronaval2024 #NHIndustries #Navy

AIRTELIS and Airbus Helicopters took the opportunity of European Rotors to announce the signature of a framework agreement for the purchase of up to five H145 helicopters, including the firm order of one. The helicopters are foreseen to be operated and used by Airtelis’ subsidiary Oya Vendée Hélicoptères, which provides support for the offshore wind industry. “The H145 has proven to be the perfect helicopter for our offshore wind operations during the construction of the new Yeu Noirmoutier offshore energy platform off the coast of Nantes,” said Laurent GIOLITTI, Executive President of Airtelis. “We look forward to expanding those operations with the H145 and to provide support to the renewable energy market.” “Thanks to its significant capacity for transporting passengers and cargo, as well as its outstanding hover performance for hoisting operations, the Airbus H145 has proven itself the helicopter of choice for offshore wind operators,” said Baudoin Marraud des Grottes, Head of Sales Western Europe at Airbus. “We’re proud and thankful to have the trust of Airtelis with our helicopters, as they look to expand their offshore operations.” Worldwide, there are more than 1,700 H145 family helicopters in service, with a total of close to 8 million flight hours. #EuropeanRotors2024 #AirbusHelicopters #H145 #MakingMissionsPossible

Airbus and Østnes Helicopters, the official distributor for Airbus Helicopters in the Nordic countries, announced a contract for ten Airbus H125s at this year's European Rotors. They will join a fleet of more than 150 H125s in the region, which mainly perform utility and aerial work missions. "Nordic customers require a truly versatile helicopter which can perform a wide range of missions," said Frode Østnes, CEO of Østnes Helicopters. "The H125 has proven that it has the capabilities time and again. Our customers in the region depend on these aircraft for essential missions and we are determined to ensure they benefit from short delivery times. This order ensures we have the best availability for the best helicopter". "With the contract for ten H125s we are proud to write another chapter in our more than 30-year partnership with Østnes Helicopters," said Thomas Hein, Head of Europe Region at Airbus Helicopters. "The H125 is the world's most successful single-engine helicopter and we are happy that Østnes is strongly committed to supporting our ambition to expand our market share in the Nordic region. With this agreement we look forward to further strengthening our presence in this region.” Østnes Helicopters is the authorised distributor for Airbus helicopters in the Nordic countries. The company has established a strong presence in the rotorcraft sector in the region and has successfully sold more than 400 helicopters, both new and on the secondary market. Østnes Helicopters' maintenance organisation is approved to provide full MRO services for the H120, H125 and H130 models. From this year, its scope also includes full support for the H145, supported by a team of certified technicians and avionics experts specially trained for the H145 helicopter. Today, more than 4,300 H125 family helicopters are flying across the globe in the most demanding conditions. The H125 is the absolute market leader in the intermediate single-engine helicopter category, achieving a record market share of 82% in 2023. This year, the Ecureuil family celebrates 40 million flight hours and 50 years since its maiden flight. #AirbusHelicopters #EuropeanRotors2024 #H125 #MakingMissionsPossible
