Listening to couple of podcast channels has been my morning routine on way to work.Building Better CMOs is one of them. Greg Stuart is simply awesome, the way he drives any conversation, the way he modulates his voice (goes low to high so seamlessly in certain moments that need that) , the way he brings in that personal touch is all 100% worth. In addition the kind of leaders he brings in ooze brilliance and inspiration. Greg - I listened to 2 of your podcasts today, so the next post coming up soon. (Ofcourse I took notes!) This one in particular that I listened to today morning is with the high energy Michelle Crossan-Matos . Not a moment to be missed in this conversation. What clarity of thought ! Some of the habits that Michelle shared, I follow as well- -Early morning wake up time -Reading about Leadership -Going for a power walk (I do a power run) -Taking notes on her phone, journaling -Basically preparing your brain for the day There are so many highlights in this conversation, one of the things I lovewhen she says CMOs need to be more of center brain than left or right. Then creating your own framework is important as you move in your career journey . I love her perspective that ----if one got to teach 5 people tomorrow on something, what helps is a framework that is own. I get the essence of it and hence I always accentuate the importance of getting out of your laptop for few moments each day and whiteboarding. I have a big white board in my home study where I keep writing/doodling depicting what's on my mind and tell you what - it is empowering ! Marissa is also the most vocal person in her boardroom and thats such a great sign of a great leader. And yes, she also calls herself the luckiest #CMO in the entire world......because....because her CEO is a former CMO. (All CMOs will relate of this) Another highlight from Marissa - Don't walk away from brand building. And also, if you get an opportunity to work in the 'retail' category ever, don't miss it (a lot of good reasons) PS: I gotta say with 3 eyeliners and 3 mascaras bringing in dimension to your eyes (the essence of it is linked to one's career journey as well!) So, I urge leaders to take out 32 mins and listen in to this! Building Better CMOs Podcast #Podcast #CSuite #Leadership #CMO Ammita Mistry Rudrashish Nag Moneka Khurana Lloyd Pereira

Let me share something that truly shocked me recently. I reached out to a few product leaders to appear on my podcast, and they did not respond or said that it might be too time-consuming. Why is it shocking? Well, because it's how much they are prioritizing their public brand. It's surprising how little effort some product managers put into building their social media presence, personal brand, and professional visibility. A few of them even reached out to our company for guidance, and it struck me—these are smart, capable individuals who’ve invested countless hours in their craft. Yet, they’ve chosen not to take their personal branding as seriously as they should. The truth is, when the time comes to step up—whether applying for leadership roles or landing that dream opportunity—they’ll look back and wish they’d started building their brand much earlier. Why? Because the visibility you build today compounds. It’s public, it’s impactful, and it’s within your control. Choosing not to invest in it is like leaving money, credibility, and future opportunities on the table. If this resonates, it might be time to rethink how you show up. Are you building a brand that makes opportunities chase you instead of the other way around? Something to think about.

Setting your goals for 2024 It's around this time that we start to wind down towards Christmas and start to think about what we would like to achieve in 2024. Years ago, I was a very haphazard goal setter, more inclined to let the year unfurl and see what happened. Over the last 5 years I have spent a huge amount of time studying and understanding how to ✅Build life roadmaps, ✅The power of visioning, ✅Setting the right goals ✅How having the right beliefs about yourself and the world can make a huge difference. Last year, around this time, my great friend Michael Tingsager (host of the Hospitality Mavericks podcast) and I sat down to discuss the subject of setting goals. ✅The importance of having an accountability partner, ✅Why surrounding yourself with the right people is key, ✅ Setting boundaries, ✅Understanding your values ✅ The power of writing things down. Thought it would be a good time to re share. Michael also shared with me that its the most downloaded podcast episode of the Hospitality Mavericks this year. Unbelievable to someone who wasn't even on social media 5 years ago, and did a shot of cold vodka, breaking out into a cold sweat after writing and posting his first post on here!! 🔹 **Unlock Your Potential: Height Isn't Everything, But Confidence Is** 🔹 Navigating the social dynamics of appearance and confidence can be challenging, especially when stereotypes are at play. That's why it's crucial to focus on what you can control – like your presentation and body language. Here are three actionable tips for anyone looking to enhance their professional and personal presence: 1. **Improve Your Posture** - Standing tall isn't just about physical height; it's about projecting confidence and command. 2. **Optimize Your Hairstyle** - A well-styled hair that adds height can also enhance your overall presence. 3. **Consider Elevator Shoes** - Popular in Asia, these can subtly increase your height and, more importantly, your self-assurance. Whether you're stepping into a boardroom or a social scene, remember: your value isn't measured in inches. It's built through how you carry yourself and engage with others. Let's redefine what professional success looks like by embracing diversity in all its forms. #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #ConfidenceBuilding #PersonalBranding #DiversityInLeadership 🔗 Watch the full podcast here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eTDkP94N
