🔹 **Unlock Your Potential: Height Isn't Everything, But Confidence Is** 🔹 Navigating the social dynamics of appearance and confidence can be challenging, especially when stereotypes are at play. Would you sign a pre-nup for your goals? . As I reflect on what I've learned from my podcast guests and travels and overall interactions with leaders I am convinced that the stronger the alignment between a person's values and the goal that their working on, whether professional or personal, the more likely they are to tolerate controversy, conflict, and very slow progress. . Often, they've invested so much of themselves into a particular goal that they will not abandon it until and unless it becomes too painful to continue. While commitment is commendable, is it always wise? In the vein of contemplating changing course, I often think about the criteria that should be put in place and when that criteria should be developed. . I lean toward setting a goal pre-nup! Set the criteria, whatever it is, BEFORE getting started on a thing because it's hard to pull back on something you want to work - even when it isn't working. . In the comments, I added an article from Fast Company on this topic, just to provide some food for thought. The article brings up a good point in terms of evaluating opportunity cost: what are you giving up to continue focusing on a particular goal? . Again, I ask, what signs do you look for to help you figure out when it's time to move on from a goal? . #allleadershipispersonal #goalsetting #designthelifeyouwanttolive

Lately, I have been more mindful about taking the time to dig deep for strategic truths and exploring multiple angles before settling on one. I am a strong believer that strategic work is creative work that requires time for “throwing the ball against the wall.” I also believe that great strategic ideas can easily be strangled and killed if they aren’t given enough time. I recently came across a podcast featuring John Cleese, where he mentioned that the power of creativity begins when you allow your unconscious mind to do the work. It’s about giving yourself unpressured moments to let go of the logical and make space for the magical. In practice, I think the best approach is to be willing to play, play, and play a bit more. That’s what I’ve been trying to incorporate into my routine. #strategy #planning #creativity #marketing #branding

Power Talk Podcast has dived into some fascinating discussions focusing on how embracing our unique qualities can lead to a more fruitful and empowering life. Reflecting on Coco Chanel's profound quote, Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself. , the episode explores an invaluable area: self-authenticity. Here are my thoughts on this incredible insight: • Being authentic is the starting line of success. In personal life or business, being true to who we are, will open doors that align with our true passions and values. • Self-esteem and innovative thinking come from self-empowerment. It is a principle that every aspiring leader should firmly embed within themselves and their team. The strength of authenticity shouldn't be underestimated. • More than ever, consumers, employees, and stakeholders alike respect brands that resonate genuineness, transparency, and authenticity. Make your authentic identity your greatest asset. As we unfold this new era, authenticity's impact on success, satisfaction, and happiness will be more emphasized than ever. Whether in our careers or personal lives, it's time for us to embrace our unique ethos for us to succeed. Predictions: • Companies placing authenticity at their core will lead the way in business and serve as models for future startups looking to carve a niche. • There’ll likely be an increasing trend in the demand for leaders who display and cultivate authenticity. Let us find beauty in and harness the power of authenticity for a more fulfilling and empowering journey in life and business. #Authenticity #Success #Leadership

I get my most inspired ideas when I am on airplanes. The second time I get some of my most inspired ideas is when I am on a run. Something about the lack of distractions (mostly the urge to check my phone). A book I am currently listening to, Indistractible, by Nir Eyal and Julie Li talks about exactly that... Carving out intentional spaces within your day to allow yourself to do deep work, or to be inspired. And being on an airplane with my phone on airplane mode (or when I am on a run, with nothing else in my ear but music) provides me that. Although inspiration is not the primary goal, but it actually creates the most perfect environment. I mean, I came up with the idea for the Bold Hearted podcast, wrote out a draft launch plan, brainstormed tag lines and made a list of potential guests - all on an airplane ride in March. These isolated containers of inspiration are crucial for innovation, vision, creativity and to doing great work. And innovation and vision are non-negotiables for great leadership. Are you intentionally allowing yourself these blank spaces and vacuums to get inspired? Seriously, are you? If so, tell me below! I'd love to know where/when you are most inspired/creative. #SabahatSays #leadership #indistractible #innovation

We often think that creativity is about whether or not you can draw. It’s not. Creative thinking can apply to anything. If you reframe creativity as ‘problem-solving’ it can help you feel more comfortable and makes creativity feel like less of a dark art. Creativity is about solving strategic problems, spotting opportunities, making connections and making good ideas happen to deliver the best learning and development for your employees. We’re all creative and research shows that creativity is more about a state of mind. When we’re in a relaxed or playful state our subconscious keeps working away, making connections and solving problems. That’s why when I ask people where they have their best ideas it’s very unusual that people say, ‘sat at my desk.’ They usually have their best ideas when they are not at work: in the shower, driving, walking the dog, asleep, talking with their children or even on the toilet! Yet so many organisations put their employees under pressure to simply ‘be creative’ or offer up massively unhelpful phrases like ‘think outside the box’ but without providing any time, resource or guidance about how to do it. There's a big opportunity as a leader to enable and encourage a culture where creativity can thrive. If you'd like some quick tips and tools to help overcome your barriers to creativity take a listen to the latest episode of Juliet and Lucy's Quiet Leadership Revolution podcast. https://lnkd.in/ekDKnxeY Happy listening.
