I keep thinking about this a lot. When I started my e-commerce journey years ago, the fashion marketing playbook was simple: - Launch new collections for summer & winter. - Run some ads. - Wait for sales. But those days are over. Today's fashion brands must adapt to rapidly changing consumer tastes & expectations. If you don't want to be left behind you have to stay ahead of trends and listen to your buyers. At our agency, we've reinvented our strategies from the ground up. We now: 1. Release collections faster to match the fast pace of trends, testing product launches earlier than the traditional seasonal schedule. 2. Implemented post-purchase surveys and collected customer feedback to understand which colours, patterns, and styles resonate. These help us focus on successful products and avoid ones that won't sell. Additionally, we're diversifying our marketing channels. Beyond ads, we're using platforms like Instagram Lives, TikTok Shop, and other social storefronts to reach customers where they're browsing. Because this is the game now. You have to try a lot of different things to get in front of your audience.

Let’s be real—how many times have you received a “personalized” marketing email that couldn’t be more generic if it tried? The irony of brands talking about personalization while sending out one-size-fits-all campaigns is almost too much. It's like trying to fit everyone into the same pair of jeans—awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved. Brands, especially in the fashion and accessories industry, love to throw around the term “personalized experience” as if it’s some kind of magic spell. But here’s the thing: slapping my first name on an email doesn’t make it personal. Neither does sending me a generic “we thought you’d like this” recommendation that has nothing to do with my actual preferences. True personalization is about understanding your customer on a deeper level—knowing their likes, dislikes, shopping behaviors, and even predicting their next move. It's about curating experiences that feel tailor-made, not cookie-cutter. So, if you’re going to talk the talk, you better walk the walk. Otherwise, you’re just another brand trying to sell “personalized” in a world where consumers are increasingly demanding *real* connection. --- #marketingfail #personalization #customerexperience #brandstrategy #fashionmarketing #Singapore #singapore #fashion #Fashion #Accessories

Scaling a one-product brand is no longer a sustainable strategy. Customers are always looking for more (if they have a great brand experience), and new products offer a way to solidify your acquisition engine and increase the following: - AOV - ROAS - CAC - Repeat purchase frequency For example, we decided to launch an underwear line (a completely different category from socks), which proved to be a successful decision and growth lever. CAC, AOV, ROAS were different. Soft metrics like (CPM, CPC) were different too. It’s a similar concept of going ‘omnichannel’ but you are expanding your risks by launching new products. You'll no longer survive as a one-product brand. Want to learn more about eCommerce advertising? Go here: https://buff.ly/3R8tDQc

If you're in Fashion e-commerce, one of the first ports of call for strategy is understanding which products are performing well on your paid media channels. But having visibility on what isn't performing is arguably even more important! Then, you can decide whether you need to improve this performance, or if it's time to remove it from your marketing channels. For example, you could be blanket targeting 'all products' and Google is still spending heavily on your AW23 or Knitwear collections. In that case, you might decide to exclude these to direct more spend towards your new SS24 collections. Sometimes you need to look at the fundamentals to drive your marketing strategy forward!

Although Stephanie Lin and her brother started their womenswear brand KESTAN as an e-commerce company, the real breakthrough for their online presence came when they opened their first brick-and-mortar store. The retail stores succeeded because they were able to deliver an entire brand experience rather than just be content to try and sell products. After that, they started to see their social media platforms differently—as a chance to bring the retail experience to customers shopping with them from all around the world. They started looking for creative ways to make customers feel like they were enjoying a relaxing day shopping IRL. Ultimately, this approach has led to increased traffic and engagement both online and in-store. Here are the tactics that have helped them create a seamless experience between their retail and online experiences: #socialmediastrategy #smallbusiness

Post demo a large Shopify plus apparel brand said “We want to run only one usecase of abandoned cart engagement on intent” 🤯 While I was very happy they want to move forward but I was also feeling a bit upset as to why they don’t want to run Cooee on more usecases. Impact of any platform is directly proportional to how you use it. And many times ecom brands don’t endup utilizing the tech stack properly, blaming the solution saying it dosen’t work 🤷🏻♂️ What if they don’t see the value we can deliver from Cooee because they only used us for one scenario was my thought. Fast forward 21 days, post our free trial….. This google meet call was something I was nervously looking forward to.. Our customer success executive presented the performance report, pre/post results and the delta we were able to bring about. Then the brand ecom head on call started talking.. “‘we don’t believe reports from other platforms and track our own”……. My heart was racing 3x now 🫨 “we could could see a consistent improvement in add to carts for past 3 weeks and looking at the data can see its driven by Cooee”. He explained further being a larger brand with different and dynamic traffic sources they wanted to run only one usecase to understand the effectiveness of Cooee first and that is exactly what they achieved now 🎯 So not just would they be going full steam now with different usecases but we also get 2 more brands from them. The times you realize less is more.. keep calm and carry on 🛍️🚀
