1DMCWORLD Spanish-Speaking Market Workshop 🇪🇸 Yesterday, I had the opportunity to participate in a workshop organized by Paul Stephen under the umbrella of the 1DMC WORLD alliance, focusing on marketing activities in the Spanish-speaking market (Iberian Peninsula + Latin America). The workshop comprised a concise two-hour brainstorming session filled with ideas and experiences shared by CEOs of local DMCs. Looking forward to implement some ideas from this webinar. #1DMCWORLD #SpanishSpeakingMarket #MarketingWorkshop #Iberia #LatinAmerica #DMC #CEOInsights #BusinessNetworking #MarketStrategies #GlobalAlliance #ProfessionalDevelopment #LinkedInNetworking

I was asked by Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners what I looked forward to most at the CMMA National Conference. Easy, networking and continuing education. CMMA’s most valued benefit of membership is our National Conference. I hate to say it, but the content is a close second. Making or renewing those in-person connections really has tangible results. Whether it’s benchmarking, comparing vendors, getting opinions on how to overcome business challenges, or easily making a friend at the conference, you grow to look forward to seeing each year. It’s nice to be able to send an email or call someone else who works in our nitch knowing that they’ll pick up or reply. It’s all about the relationships built here at the National Conference. The content will be outstanding too. The keynote presentation will feature cutting-edge strategies to increase retention and loyalty within your organization and essential business principles to help you create a company culture that keeps employees engaged and customers returning for more. I am even leading a panel of experts where we will explore the end-to-end flow of in-person and hybrid communications, from production to distribution in an enterprise environment. There is so much more happening at the CMMA National Conference, like Leadership and technology forums, presentations on Managing AI in the Creative Environment and Building a Culture of Belonging, and studio tours. And don’t forget the many networking and social events that are included. Just a reminder that early bird pricing ends August 31st so if you’re on the fence, jump in and join CMMA at Best Buy’s and Toro’s corporate headquarters in October. You don’t even have to be a member to attend. See you there… https://lnkd.in/gY7guqgK at CMMA.org.

Here's a very useful and important fact for communication professional development. The IABC #GoldQuill process isn't about making your work fit and award entry. Quills recognise applied excellence applied in practice. Using the evaluation criteria during planning and execution means you are baking effective communication into your work. I am proud to have been part of this terrific initiative from Mirko Petricevic, CMP® and International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Waterloo along with Zora Artis, GAICD IABC Fellow SCMP. By my estimate there's at least 200 years of experience in the incredible collection of wise people and IABC Fellows Mirko assembled, including Angela Sinickas, ABC Priya Bates, ABC, MC, SCMP, IABC Fellow Shel Holtz, SCMP Dr Amanda Hamilton-Attwell ABC ⎮ CPRP ⎮ IABC Fellow and Shel Holtz, SCMP. The advice here goes so far beyond completing an entry: it goes to strategic communication excellence in understanding the problem, thinking of audience, objective setting, measurement. Importantly, effective Gold Quills tell a story of how communication solves problems and adds values. And that's something our profession continues to need. Being our own best advocates is one of the most valuable things we can do for our careers, our function, and doing so provides excellent artefacts for those entering our profession. Good luck in your entries, in your planning and in your ongoing development.

Just arrived in Atlanta for the annual America's SBDC Conference! Tomorrow afternoon I’ll be presenting on “Strategic Planning for SBDC Networks: Successful Alignment with Accreditation.” This presentation is based on the concept that a well-designed process for strategic planning is key to organizational success. And that implementation is more than three quarters of the process for the execution of the plan once it has been created. I work with each of my clients to craft a series of meetings, sessions, benchmarks, and reviews that align with the specific needs of their organization in order to move through the implementation of strategic plan through the duration of the plan. In the case of SBDC Networks, strategic planning is not only an important structure that leads to organizational success, it is also a key component of Accreditation. In this presentation, I’ll share the strategic planning process I designed to ensure SBDC Networks meet accreditation requirements while leading to an effective strategic planning outcome. If you’re at the conference, I hope you can attend! And if your organization needs a customized Strategic Planning process designed to meet their unique goals, let’s talk.
