Empathy & Engagement to Drive Revenue Retention & Growth

Did I just hit an all-time high or all-time low by quoting myself? Never mind, don't answer. But I needed to get this message out: Dear Executives, Please stop showcasing company goals only in January, or worse yet, only at SKO. Please... 1️⃣ If you want employees to understand the business, highlight the goals with regular visibility. No more "one and done." 🥈 If you want employees to feel connected to your mission and vision, help them understand the goals. Explain the "why" behind the goals. 🕒 If you want employees to feel motivated to get work done, show them how their efforts are directly tied to the goals. Show, don't tell. And yes, I am taking my own advice - I focus on the customer experience and my customers live inside and outside the organization - that includes my colleagues. It's not easy to do, but it's essential to our work and success as leaders. Carry on, Alison P.S. Good way to know if you're sharing goals often enough: Stop 5 random employees and ask them what your company's top 3 goals are.

Love this advice.........ALWAYS keep those goals VISIBLE and top of mind. Some people really do need to be reminded of the goals, and not because they aren't focused, but it is easy to forget during the everyday grind. The reminder 'should' keep everyone going in the same general direction.

Love the quote! And yes, let's get everyone aligned around cohesive goals and keeping it top of mind. Often it just falls on the GTM teams, but it takes a company.

That woman knows what she's talking about her. I'd quote her all day long! 😉
