With Grit: Our Merch Is Here We’re rolling up our sleeves (literally) and stepping into the swag game. Introducing the Scalrr Shop, where industrial grit meets startup hustle. This isn’t your typical logo-on-a-tee collection; it’s gear designed for the bold and industrious. Think machinist caps, workman shirts, and hoodies that say, "I build the future and know how to fix an electromechanical system." Here’s the deal: we didn’t create this shop because we expect to sell a ton of gear (spoiler alert: we don’t). This started as merch for our team, but we loved it so much, we decided to share it with the world. Plus, all profits are going to support youth STEM programs—because the next generation of inventors deserve a shot to build what’s next. ⚙️ Orders will take 2-3 weeks (plus shipping) because good things take time. This is a labor of love, not mass production. 👷♀️👷♂️ Gear up, and let’s make the future happen together. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gnvFNdyA #ScalrrShop #BuildTheFuture #IndustrialStyle #STEM

414 days ago today I sat down to scribble ideas for Embarc’s logo. Needless to say, my decision to found Embarc & go all-in on start-ups was no great loss to the art world. In those 414 days, some special things have happened. We’ve had 7 founding teams from the community take the leap. 2 Embarc-ers - who met for the first time at an Embarc event - are about to close one of London’s hottest pre-seed rounds. 1 of our founding members is heading to San Francisco for a certain accelerator programme. Another has hit £250k ARR 4 months since commercial launch. Embarc exists to help these special things happen. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg. There are dozens of people in Embarc working on side projects. Everything from GPT wrappers to a digitally enabled home cleaning business. And the best bit? It’s just getting going. The reality is that those 7 founding teams represent a small % of the 700+ people we’ve had sign up. Imagine what the next 414 days will bring. If you’re building, or hoping to build, something cool in tech - follow Embarc on LI & drop me a line. I’d love to hear about it.

I had about 6 calls through my Minnect and Intro profiles and they all had something in common. Each problem was an easy solution, but the kind I've seen startups waste 3-12 months without solving, many times over - what does this tell you? Some were pricing questions One was UX One was how to transition from a service and product methodology to product only The questions were very varied, but they were all the types of things you could spend 6 months not solving, while spending $10,000's Or you can ask me. If you do it now, while i'm getting more reviews, it will cost you $10. If you do it later, it will cost $100-$250. Anyone need some direction?

😎 Prototyping Challenge! 😎 One of our most popular Icebreaker activities from the Cambio Labs curriculum: how might we quickly create prototypes out of garbage, recyclables, and other basic and cheap materials? Could one person's trash be another person's treasure? ♻️ Prototyping and creating testable products is an essential part of the design and entrepreneurial process. Although this challenge may seem silly, this is a valuable creative thinking muscle that any innovator or creator will need to learn to flex 💪 Our Startup NYCHA entrepreneurs were challenged to think outside of the box and use these materials to create innovative solutions for some interesting (and whacky) problems... 🐦 Build a home that will keep your bird family safe 🌻 Design a way to get to know your garden gnome 🤖 Make a present for a very shy robot Participants had 4 minutes to build something...Now give it a go yourself! ⏲️ How well would you do in the Prototyping Challenge? #designthinking #prototyping #StartupNYCHA #playislearning Shoutout and credit to Diana Trushell for originally developing these imaginative prompts!
