Thrilled to share the incredible success of our first-ever Innovative Startup Hackathon (Design Thinking Framework) for non-tech entrepreneurs in Warsaw Business Club! 🎉🚀 I've been conducting many Design Thinking workshops, trainings, seminars (IDEO framework) for product teams but this one was truly special. I brought design thinking tools to established business owners hungry for innovation! What we had? - Entrepreneurs with thriving businesses. - 10 design thinking frameworks. - 8 hours of intense ideation and prototyping. 🧠 My key takeaways: Empathy is a game-changer 💡 Watching these business leaders step into their users' shoes was transformative (and lots of fun too))). Only when they went through the customer journey in their shoes they could realize what should be added to the core product. Prototyping isn't just for tech💡 Our participants created incredible low-fi prototypes, from paper apps to role-playing customer experiences. Creativity knows no bounds! Innovation can happen anywhere💡 This event proved that with the right tools and mindset, anyone can innovate, regardless of their technical background. The winning team demonstrated these lessons. They developed an app for women facing family relationship challenges. What stood out was their: - Deep user empathy gained through intensive interviews - Innovative blend of technology and human touch - Potential for scaling and making a significant social impact Seeing established business owners pivot their thinking and create human centred solutions was truly impressive. It was a great example how design thinking tools drove meaningful innovation. A massive thank you to all participants, assistants, and judges. You've shown that innovation isn't about knowing all the answers, but about asking the right questions and being bold enough to challenge the status quo. To all business leaders out there: it's never too late to embrace new ways of thinking and innovating. #DesignThinking #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #ProductDevelopment #BusinessInnovation #Startup #YBC What established industry do you think could benefit most from a design thinking approach? Would love to hear your ideas! 👇

Week 4 on N&W s5 of buildspace: UPDATES you build, you launch, you iterate, and then you launch again your iteration. many people will not make that second launch 🚀 , and here's why: - they didn't get enough constructive feedback, so they don't even know what to iterate. - they got constructive feedbacks, that turned everything upside down, and now they have no idea what to do ! (blank page syndrom one more time...) - they got constructive feedbacks, but now they have to build again (from scratch), so how can you launch something you didn't build yet ? disillusions yes, but that's just fine. this is exactly the part where you start building.... relentlessness ! dare2b updates: 🚀 - attracting more students in the waitlist. - working on designing cool lectures for each stage. - launched the first lecture for "dare to think" stage. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/eGMQ29Ha keep going builders ! cc: buildspace Farza Majeed #students #buildspace #launch #iteration #startup #innovation #dare2b

Last week I finished a three-session virtual innovation workshop with Branching Design’s first client, Hellowiz. It was rewarding and instructive to work with the smart, generous people driving this purpose-driven startup, whose mission is helping older people thrive in the third chapter of life. I planned four online activities to accomplish the workshop’s goals. My gut told me the work deserved about four hours, but my corporate experience had conditioned me to ask for two hours max and settle for 90 minutes. So I proposed 90 minutes, noting we might need some additional time. The initial activity was independent brainstorming, and I was surprised when the Hellowiz team volunteered to do it as homework so we would have more time for the collaborative activities. I was shocked and so appreciative when each participant actually completed the activity prior to our session! You probably know what happened — we didn’t complete the other three activities in 90 minutes. It was clear participants wanted to spend more time discussing and evaluating, so after confirming this with them, I tossed my original schedule. It was exciting to see direction and critical business decisions emerge from their work over two more sessions plus an additional round of homework. I look forward to watching Hellowiz evolve and working with them in the future. #facilitatedworkshops #designthinking
