Our members are the primary providers of publicly-funded behavioral healthcare services in the Commonwealth, serving approximately 81,000 Massachusetts residents daily, 1.5 million residents annually, and employing over 46,500 people. ABH represents its member providers to funding, legislative and regulatory agencies at the state and national levels and has become a powerful and compelling advocacy organization to ensure that citizens throughout the Commonwealth have access to quality, comprehensive community-based care.

As the first state to mandate EHR use in behavioral health, the State of Minnesota has passed legislation requiring all medical providers, including mental health providers, to use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) by 1/1/2015. This is a higher expectation than the federal legislation which does not include mental health. This committee monitors requirements and identifies vendors who will be in compliance for 2015, educates the community and provides subject matter expertise on behavioral health EMR usage in MN.
