CEO Author, Teacher, Mentor The purpose of medical research and citing the resources used in the preparation of a Life Care Plan is to strengthen the Life Care Planner’s credibility as an expert witness. The Life Care Planner should also be giving credit to the sources relied upon when developing the Life Care Plan. Using evidence-based research to support the Life Care Plan recommendations is also found in the standards of practice within Life Care Planning. Medical research should be utilized in a consistent approach and standardized methodology when preparing the Life Care Plan. Testimony can be excluded if the Life Care Planner fails to provide evidence-based research to support their opinions in the Life Care Plan report. Without medical research and documentation of evidence-based medicine, the Life Care Planner’s expert report becomes less credible and more susceptible to cross-examination and challenge. #nurses #ot #pt #crc #doctors #casemanagement #legalnurseconsultant

Health systems risk physician licenses to make billions Look at this: Physicians at Providence in Oregon have authorized a strike The first in Oregon history One doctor said: "We just don't want to come to work everyday wondering if that'll be the day we lose our license because we were forced to practice in a way that felt unsafe" That's right, it's your license on the line And Providence wants to make it about money And guilt Here's what the CEO said: "[the] ultimate goal is not to get contracts for members, but to engineer an eight-hospital strike...which would, in effect, throw health care for thousands of patients into uncertainty" Ah yes, the making of false accusations and leveraging of patient guilt Classic Meanwhile, what is up with Providence's financial state?
