An underlying value of "custom" anti-fatigue mats is the ability color-code them to protect your people and products, and to improve organization. Perdue Farms is a premium protein provider, creating products for consumers and retail and foodservice customers across the globe. They've partnered with AcroMat over the years for mats that are antimicrobial, impervious to liquids and chemicals, and ergonomically sound. But they've also needed specific colors to 🎨color-code🎨 their mats. Combined with the qualities above, this has helped Perdue Farms ensure health, safety, and achieve operational efficiencies. 3 ways color-coding can improve safety and create efficiencies: ➡1. Prevents cross contamination Using different colored mats for hot and cold zones can prevent cross-contamination during cleanings and rotation periods. For example: Hot zone: Black mat with orange borders Warm zone: Black mat with yellow borders Cold zone: Yellow mats with yellow borders ➡2. Makes organized cleanings easier Color-coding allows you to create a seamless, efficient cleaning process. For example, on Monday the hot zone mats are cleaned. On Wednesday, the cold zone mats are cleaned. By color-coding, you can develop a process around how each mat is cleaned based on where they're used and the products they interact with. There's also no confusion when it comes to returning mats to certain areas. ➡3. Allows mat rotations to increase life expectancy Rotating your anti-fatigue mats, for example from a heavily used area to less-trafficked area and vice-versa, can prolong their useful life. The challenge is, most anti-fatigue or ergo mats look the same. If all your mats are the same size and color, it can be easy to lose track of which mats were rotated to certain areas, which mats need to be rotated, and when to rotate your mats. Color-coding makes it easier to document and track all of the above. -- For most, "custom" anti-fatigue mats means unique shapes and sizes. Sometimes, it can be as simple as getting the colors you need to protect your people and products, and to create operational efficiencies.
