Simple analogy. Trail running is like #customersuccess and sales. -Look too far ahead and you miss the flowers (or worse, the rocks) right in front of you. -Look too close, and you lose your path. -Go too fast and burn out while missing the hidden gems, new paths and potential warnings. -Go too slow and lose momentum before the end. -Start too early and its cold. -Start too late and it’s crowded. -Pack too few supplies/resources and struggle to finish. -Pack too much and get bogged down. -Old gear = poor performance and lack of progress. -Brand new gear = excessive features and likely some blisters. I could go on forever. The point is, plan appropriately. No two paths are the same, even if you’ve run the same trail 100 times.
