What is the best way to answer a question about working independently in Content Development?
I'm partially introverted. Working independently requires that you have certain skills, such as being a self-starter. You're not depending upon anyone else to give you your daily tasks, milestones, or projects. You do that. If you are highly extroverted, you may be challenged to work independently. One way to handle the challenge is to create specific collaborative sessions with your peers. Network. Investigate a co-working space. That way, you'll be surrounded by people to inspire you without feeling too isolated. For me, I love owning my day, my projects, and my goals. But goals can shift because I don't have someone checking my progress.

How can you maintain a positive attitude in Content Development?
In my experience, understanding the content's purpose is critical. What is the goal for the content? Conversions? Branding? Lead generation? Engagement? Once you know the goal of your content asset, then that narrows down the development. It also kills the "Omigosh-it's-time-to-plan-the-quarterly-content-calendar-what-are-we-going-to-create" monster. Spending time identifying the topics and themes of your content will streamline the creation process.

How do you write engaging headlines without being too vague?
The 4 U's Formula is a good one. Another one is AWAI's "4 P's Formula" - Promise, Picture, Proof, and Push. For me, the most important part of a good headline is clearly naming the promise. People read a headline to see if it will promise them something they want. If it appeals to their self-interest, then they will continue to read the first sentence. Then the next. It's why copywriters spend so much time on crafting a headline and the lead copy. If the copy doesn't fulfill the promise made in the headline, the reader will vanish. It's important to find the right promise to make but also follow through and persuade the reader you can make that promise come true for them. Testimonials are crucial.
