What are your thoughts? To eliminate or do not eliminate CalTPA (California Teacher Performance Assessment? How do we know if future teachers know how to plan lesson plans, deliver instruction, and assess their students' learning? Removing the assessment will bring many people into teaching who may not be capable or prepared enough to work with children. Teaching is an art! Teaching is not easy. Working with children is like doctors working with patients. Teaching is a demanding career. A form of accountability is needed before we send novice teachers to work with children.
