How can adaptive leadership theory help you navigate ambiguity and uncertainty?
Something I've learned over the years of working with leadership teams both as an external consultant and an internal change agent, is that there are 3 necessary conditions to innovate and create subsequent sticky change- 1) A really, really challenging situation with high stakes 2) A diverse team with psychological safety and trust 3) Time to be intentional, experiment and iterate. If you are missing any one of these conditions, your efforts to innovate and evolve will likely fail.

Because of the success of Marshall’s 100 Coaches (MG100), Marshall has decided to expand his pay-it forward legacy to launch his next-generation pay-it-forward program, Aspiring Coaches.
Aspiring Coaches Purpose: The purpose of Marshall Goldsmith’s Aspiring Coaches Project is to equip and empower the next generation of leaders who are making a tangible difference to have an even bigger impact now and in the future. The distinguished members of MG100 will serve as coaches and mentors for the Aspiring Coaches.
Selection: This diverse group from around the US and the world are being selected for their potential to honor Marshall’s incredible generosity and pay-it-forward legacy to make a positive difference now and in the future.
Qualities: An Aspiring Coach embodies the highest standards of leadership, character, and integrity. These passionate and altruistic next-generation leaders are compassionate disrupters and difference-makers. Aspiring Coaches are already making a tangible and positive difference, and, through the power of coaching and mentoring they receive from Marshall and the MG100, will have an even greater impact in the world.Other creatorsSee project -

MAPP Alumni are friendly, kind, and encouraging towards anybody who shares our commitment to increase human flourishing around the world. Our collective goal is to see 51% of the world population flourishing by 2051. We contribute to this goal by practicing positive psychology in schools, corporations, healthcare organizations, universities, and the media. We write books and articles about evidence-based approaches that work. We teach courses and give lectures on the science of positive psychology at all educational levels. We do this all over the world. We have graduates in Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Canada, Mexico, the US, Europe, and Africa. MAPP alumni are proud to be an international and diverse community. There is something intangible that the MAPP alumni have. We call it “MAPP magic.” It is a deep sense of love, kindness, and shared purpose that we experience when we go through the MAPP program at UPENN. One of our goals is to keep the MAPP magic alive and share it with others throughout the world. We cannot wait to share our passion about positive psychology with you!
