“I had the pleasure of working for Jyoti on a fast-paced intense project on Integrated Risk Management (IRM) for an industry-leading client in space exploration. I can say with confidence Jyoti is one of the best project managers I have worked for. She handled the pressure of seven deliverables in a short 3-month period with composure and attention to detail. She got to know our team well and quickly learned each member's strengths so she was able to divide and delegate the work accordingly. Her client presentation skills were top-notch, but she made sure to give each team member a chance to present to the client so we all had equal visibility. She was always very enthusiastic with a positive energy. She did a lot of behind-the-scenes research to make the project run smoothly for the team. She took the time to listen to each of the team member's suggestions and made sure to do recaps after each client out-brief. We all really enjoyed having Jyoti as our PM leading us through all the challenges. Jyoti was a big reason our demanding project was so successful! I hope I have the opportunity to work with her again.”

How often should you ask for feedback from your supervisor?
Asking for feedback and getting feedback is different and both are valuable. Feedback should be requested on a regular interval related to your job goals and supporting activities. However, more importantly feedback should be sought on an impromptu basis when your intuition is triggered by a recent event. It is at these moments that feedback can help you navigate sensitive areas most successfully. You are best served by seeking out feedback that has a balanced perspective from both critical and supportive audiences. These insights will help you grow new capabilities and relationships along your career journey.
