What do you do if your career is being disrupted by new technologies and industry trends?
Forget about the technology. Many people who find themselves in this situation will think the solution is simple....get new skills. But how many people will be taking that very same path. Instead, I reccomend focusing on the intangible characteristics and skills you need to transcend technology and trends to avoid the catbird all together. Focus on your ability the think strategically On skills to create, articulate, and execute a plan Change management and leadership skills What else can you identify has stood the test of time?

You're a small business leader looking to expand your network. What's the best way to do it?
Many people make the mistake of thinking that their network is for their benefit, consider your network as a way to extend your ability to serve your customers. Reach out to several of your customers that represent your ideal customer profile or ICP. Ask them in addition to you, what other vendors and partners do they have the best relationships with, which do they rely on most. Get introductions to them through your customer. Ask them what other areas they feel they need help on the most. Fill that gap by seeking out professionals in those roles to fill your network Lastly, picture you're network as a web. Think about what it means if you aren't the circle in the middle. Who is? Who else is in their network you should know?

How long should you work with a mentor in social selling?
Is being a mentee the right fit for you? Having a mentor should be more intimate and vulnerable than simply hiring a coach, and not everybody is ready or open to that type of relationship. So what are the alternatives? For starters you can tap into the world of social selling that you're aiming to learn more about yourself. 1) Identify who some of the best known social sellers are in your space 2) Follow them and click the bell. Observe their content and learn from the wisdom that much of them provide for free 3) Engage meaningfully and often. Showing up in the spaces you want to have an impact in 4) Just reach out. Social sellers are people too. Connect for as many one on one's as you can.

How can you structure a story to get actionable feedback from customers?
Like every good lie is rooted somewhat in truth, the most powerful stories you can craft should seem strangely familiar. You've heard people say "it's a classic David and goliath" or other such references. When crafting a narrative of your own take some time to reflect on which if any age old and well known stories it is akin to. Then, without the "once upon a time" rewrite it with the characters, settings, and plot twists of your reality.
