The slow progress in rebuilding and modernizing our power systems highlights a critical area that needs our attention and action. Yet, the resilience demonstrated by my family, enduring 100 days without water, gas, or electricity, was not only remarkable— It was a masterclass in the profound impact of belonging. This experience brought to life an essential truth: When we belong, we gain more than hope; we possess a collective strength that overcomes even the toughest challenges.
