Ronald McDonald House Charities have this Pop tab collection program where Advantage Metals buys the tabs at market rate and makes an additional charitable contribution.to RMHC. I also would assist students with their homework and any technical problems they faced with one of the computers.I would then stay after to clean up and make sure all the computers were logged off and the textbooks were back on the shelf. I loved tutoring others because they would often come back the following week to show me their high test score and it is a great feeling knowing that you helped someone succeed.

As a student volunteer I got the opportunity to fly to Jamaica along with other college students in order to help local schools. For my group, we went to Albion Primary school and collected school supplies for the students as well as repainted the buildings and spent the day talking to these amazingly intelligent young children.

    Health

With the Black Student Union members, I helped sort through donated canned goods to make sure they were up to FDA so that they may go to agencies that distribute them to families in need. I contributed by sorting and packing the cans in boxes and together we all produced 13,000 lbs of food ready to be shipped, which would feed around 10,000 families. Knowing that I helped families not go to bed hungry really makes me happy and grateful I could help.

    Environment

Along with the Black Student Union, I helped to tend to beds of fruits and vegetables to make sure they would grow healthy to feed families of Tennessee. Since Tennessee is a food desert, Green Leaf grows fresh produce to give to citizens so they have access to fresh healthy food. It was satisfying work working in the soil and taking out weeds, It was nice knowing one day the beds will be sporting beautiful nutritious fruits and vegetables.

""Inside of Me" is a meaningful study of introspective poems written by teenagers for teenagers, which explores what goes on inside the heads of today's teens in those quiet moments when the outside distractions are finally turned down and one is alone with ones own thoughts. We would also like you to know that less than 2% of all of the poems we will receive this year will be published in this anthology. We found in your poem a passion and sincerity that we feel others will also find worthwhile experiencing. Our goal is to share that passion and sincerity with others and to experience their passion as well." -NJ Poet Society
