Capital Group and KKR have taken the next step in their effort to build a new category of hybrid public-private investment solutions for U.S. financial advisors and their clients. Thanks to Jake Martin at Financial Advisor IQ for publishing an article on our latest survey on advisor demand for private equity. Interestingly, we found that growth equity is a standout sub-strategy, with over a third of advisors indicating that their clients are very interested in it. However, there is more work to be done, as 42% of advisors said that a lack of understanding or knowledge was a primary barrier to private equity demand. Over 240 firms added 450+ strategies to the Nasdaq eVestment platform in 1Q24 for visibility with consultants, intermediaries, and investors. The newly marketed strategies were added by firms domiciled across 30 unique countries spanning from Australia to Singapore to Switzerland, and 28% indicated integration of ESG considerations into their respective investment processes. From a geographic standpoint almost 200 were broadly diversified (i.e. had a global investment focus) in nature, however, in total the newly promoted strategies spanned over 30 different regions across #balanced, #equities, #fixedincome, #hedgefund and #realestate capabilities.
