Using published studies, I developed a report of the economic value of improving upper arm mobility among patients suffering from muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord injury. The organization was able to use this information in strategies for approaching payers regarding their innovative device.

July 1, 2024: Medicaid Cost Sharing Restarts "The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) paused Medicaid cost-sharing rules in March 2020 to keep health coverage open for IHCP members during the federal coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency (PHE) and the subsequent return-to-normal process. This pause will end July 1, 2024, and the IHCP will restart cost sharing for the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Medicaid for Employees with Disabilities (MEDWorks) programs. 📣CALL FOR STATE APPLICATIONS After decades of a worsening drug overdose crisis, primarily driven by opioids, recent national data show a reduction of over 10 percent in overdose deaths. This positive trend provides state policymakers and #Medicaid programs with an opportunity to address inequities in substance use disorder (#SUD) care and strengthen SUD care systems. All states and U.S. territories can apply for this 12-month learning collaborative that will support up to four teams with planning, developing, or refining SUD-related policies that promote equitable prevention, treatment, or recovery supports. Applications are due December 20.
