ROI for Quality Improvement
I presented a seminar on return on investment (ROI) of Quality Improvement initiatives, as it relates to reduced utilization and costs to Medicare. This is an important aspect of applications for funding from CMS, and is likely to be requested by CMS in the future.
-
Market Capture for a Remote Patient Monitoring Device
-
I used published literature to develop an analysis of the additional patient volume that could be expected from the use of a novel remote patient monitoring device to track progress and collect data. The organization used the information in several successful pitches to investors and other organizations.
-
Demonstrating the Value of Video-based Medication Management
-
I helped assemble critical evidence for benefits and cost-savings associated with video-based medication monitoring. The organization was able to apply for federal funding and has begun a pilot study on the device's effectiveness.
-
Cost-effectiveness of fall prevention
-
I performed an extensive literature search to determine key inputs and calculated estimated cost-effectiveness of preventing falls through educational classes. The organization this was for was able to land meetings with several health plans to discuss coverage for their classes.
-
The value of improving upper arm mobility with an external device
-
Using published studies, I developed a report of the economic value of improving upper arm mobility among patients suffering from muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord injury. The organization was able to use this information in strategies for approaching payers regarding their innovative device.
