About the Expert: Tina Abrams is the Director of Billing Systems at HSC Medical Billing & Consulting, LLC. In this role, she is responsible for a team of revenue specialists and their performance of daily billing and insurance accounts receivable functions for a number of medical specialties including Anesthesiology, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Family Practice, General Surgery, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Podiatry. She collaborates with the staff to identify problems with billing, coding, payments, and customer service in order to find effective solutions and continually maximize client revenue. Tina brings over 25 years of revenue cycle experience to HSC Medical Billing & Consulting, LLC. She began her career in revenue cycle management by performing prior authorizations and referrals for providers in the mental health specialty, then moved to office management for a pediatric office. FDA grants first schizophrenia treatment approval in 35 years - According to BioSpace, the FDA approved the first muscarinic agonist for schizophrenia, offering a new treatment option that avoids many side effects associated with traditional antipsychotics.
