You're faced with conflicting data in a marketing campaign. How do you decide on the best approach?
Sometimes we are all faced with mixed messages in a marketing campaign. One stat is pointing in one direction, while another stay indicates to follow another direction altogether. The way I handle that situation is to take a deep look at what is behind the stats. For instance, does it make sense how the stat is being calculated? Is the formula based on facts or assumptions? To summarize, I look further for the truth and follow that. If I am still not sure, another way to handle this situation is to do an A/B split test and let the results speak for themselves. Results don't lie.

How can you use cohort analysis to segment customer groups for digital marketing?
The best information can be gleamed by analyzing cohorts over time. When you create the cohorts they are grouped by common factors, such as how much they spent with you over the last year and how long they have been a customer. A year later you can see how each of those groups change over time, and whether time as customer or dollar amount spent id the best indicator of future revenue. There will be many other factors to take into consideration also such as product line changes, target market changes, pricing changes. If you sold low price apparel and you change to luxury items, that will affect the behaviors and outcomes of cohort analysis. So while there are limitations to cohort analysis, there are lots of interesting tidbits to be found

How do you manage your online marketing budget without falling into common pitfalls?
Test and learn, otherwise known as optimize and customize, can greatly increase ROAS for any campaign. Yet it gets overlooked because there is no lever for audience optimization in any platform. Just like platform algorithms are working hard to optimize spend, images, timing, sites and more, results from audiences tested as different strategies provide valuable insights as to how they are affecting performance. For instance, I had provided 2 custom segments to a client for a digital campaign. They tested them for a month, and reported back that one segment had great clicks, and poor orders. The other had low clicks and great orders. I adjusted both segments resulting in a $200 savings in CPA. Don't forget to optimize your audiences.

One thing that is sometimes added as an afterthought is audience targeting. Who you serve impressions to is critical for your offer to be relevant and timely. For a student card, for example, you can target students who are looking for credit. For a home decor offer, you can target people who just moved. If you serve impressions without identifying and targeting your intended audience, you are throwing budget out the window. Working with an experience data professional does not cost more than blindly picking audiences on a platform. They bring great value with their knowledge of how different sourcing, demographics, and types of audiences perform for different offers. Don't leave your audience to change, plan for targeting success.

It feels so amazing to hold a space for another, and also when another does so for me.
What does dialogue or passive witnessing have to do with healing someone? Homeopathy treats the whole person - physical, mental and emotional. It treats one illness or complaint at a time, and is the only method known to truly cure disease by healing the mitochondria in our cells.
