Salesforce won’t invest more in CPQ. The market sentiment says so. Since the launch of RLM (Revenue Lifecycle Management), the market sentiment for CPQ has gone down. People are speculating: → no new advancement → differences b/w RLM and CPQ → CPQ as an outdated tool and more. Here’s the most absurd yet believable speculation: In light of RLM, Salesforce will discontinue CPQ in 2-3 years. But all of this may be just that - speculation. There is nothing to worry, yet. Because RLM isn’t ready to use. It is still in beta. I’ve been getting a lot of queries around - how to migrate from CPQ to RLM. My answer - There is no straight forward way. I get a lot of DMs questioning Salesforce RLM and the scope of it. The launch of RLM has also forced people to ask questions like: → Is CPQ relevant now? → Has RLM replaced CPQ? → Is Salesforce ending the CPQ tool? The answers are: → Yes → No → No But all these questions are irrelevant at the moment. The only relevant question for businesses today is - "Should I choose Salesforce CPQ or the Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) tool?" In my opinion - If you want a solution as soon as possible, go with CPQ. If you’ve got time and resources, try RLM. CPQ is still very much relevant, and will likely stay that way for now. But before you do, you must know what RLM is. There is still a large segment of people who don't know the basics of Salesforce RLM. Here's a basic file for you: #rlm #salesforce #cpq

The extreme arrogance of the #NDIABoard. No business case. But as the #EY report hints at, the total cost of this defective #Salesforce #PACE system could be in the **HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS** of dollars. AND, the #Salesforce deal ends NEXT YEAR. In my recent submission on the #NDISBill, I examined the unknown and uncapped costs of the #PACE system - and challenged the current #NDIA leadership narrative on “the business case”.👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/dDekWjrG “From the NDIA responses to questions from the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit Inquiry into Procurement at Services Australia and the NDIA. PACE Costs and Business Case… "The business case for PACE estimated a 10% reduction in cost-to-serve, or a reduction of 1.8M hours from the time it takes staff to interact with the former CRM. These savings are being reinvested in increased participant contact. That is, PACE reduces the amount of time that staff and partners spend interacting with the CRM, meaning they have more time to spend working directly with NDIS participants.” ➡️ Something doesn’t add up - a big problem for an “actuarial business”. Was there NOT a business case, as stated by the #EY report. Or WAS there a business case, as claimed by the #NDIA in evidence to questions from the Committee. Both answers cannot be true. Over to the #ANAO to investigate further in their audit on the #NDIABoard. Feel like everyone who builds Flow in Salesforce should take a few minutes to review this excellent Trailhead Module about Rolling Back Changes in Flow: https://lnkd.in/enXWhwty Understanding when a transaction is rolled back (and perhaps more importantly is NOT rolled back) is crucial. I see Fault paths being used more than I used to, which is good, but I still feel like I haven't seen the Rollback and Custom Errors elements in many flows even though they probably should also be included based on this article.

The launch of Salesforce’s Revenue Lifecycle Management has given birth to doubtful market sentiment: → RLM vs. CPQ → no new CPQ advancement → the death of Salesforce CPQ In my opinion, it shouldn’t be a point of debate. RLM is a smart move towards automating and managing the product-to-cash process. It caters to businesses of all sizes and industries, aiming to streamline operations across: → product/service design → price management → contract lifecycle management → configuration, quote, and order management → billing, collections, and revenue lifecycle intelligence Salesforce RLM isn't a standalone product but a suite of offerings designed to address the full revenue lifecycle for a diverse range of customers. Saw a post on LI where it compares Salesforce CPQ to RLM; Salesforce CPQ requires low effort to implement but high effort to maintain; RLM will require high effort to implement but low effort to maintain. So for the customers thinking of moving from CPQ to RLM, you are spending a high cost today and you will be spending likely much higher cost to move, and by the time you will be done, there might be another new name offered to you.
