We were thrilled to spend today at Nationals Park with Washington Nationals staff to process the 1,000 books they generously donated to us. These books will go into our students’ hands as they head home for winter break and help bring them holiday cheer. Thank you to our friends at the Nationals for this gift and for a day full of reading joy!

#SpiritDay is a chance to take a stand against bullying of LGBTQ youth who are affected at higher rates than others. No child deserves to be bullied for being who they are. The Washington Nationals were proud to join clubs around Major League Baseball (MLB) on Thursday in supporting kindness and helping everyone feel included. #SpiritDay 💜 Learn more: glaad.org/spiritday

1,314 Strikeouts = $65,700 for The Children's Inn at NIH. The Nationals once again partnered with the Washington Area Toyota Dealers for the K's for Kids program. For every strikeout recorded by a Nationals pitcher this past season, the Washington Area Toyota Dealers donated $50 to The Children's Inn. This donation was honored at the end of the season with an on-field check presentation and a Screech visit to The Inn. Thank you Toyota, 186 Advertising and The Children’s Inn for a great season of strikeouts!
