The Nationals hosted over 100 soldiers and sailors from the US Army and US Navy for Base HIIT—a battle of fitness supremacy—ahead of the Army-Navy Game on Saturday. Congratulations to the Army on taking home the trophy, and good luck to both in this weekend's matchup!

We were thrilled to spend today at Nationals Park with Washington Nationals staff to process the 1,000 books they generously donated to us. These books will go into our students’ hands as they head home for winter break and help bring them holiday cheer. Earlier this week, Major League Baseball (MLB) named the Washington Nationals one of five finalists for the 2024 Allan H. Selig Award for Philanthropic Excellence for the work of Nationals Philanthropies and its signature program, the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy. For 10 years, the Academy has ensured that more than 6,000 children from the Washington D.C. community have the proper access, enrichment and education to thrive in their adult lives. 1,314 Strikeouts = $65,700 for The Children's Inn at NIH. The Nationals once again partnered with the Washington Area Toyota Dealers for the K's for Kids program. For every strikeout recorded by a Nationals pitcher this past season, the Washington Area Toyota Dealers donated $50 to The Children's Inn. This donation was honored at the end of the season with an on-field check presentation and a Screech visit to The Inn. Thank you Toyota, 186 Advertising and The Children’s Inn for a great season of strikeouts!
