The MLB Asian ERG hosted its second annual Diwali event, which brought together members of the South Asian community throughout the sports industry. This vibrant celebration included a variety of cultural reflections seen in the decorations, entertainment, food, and attire on display. The MLB Asian ERG celebrated the achievements of the South Asian community as its presence continued to grow in baseball – especially with this year’s debut of MLB’s first player of Indian descent, Kumar Rocker. Thank you to everyone who supported this event, especially MLB Asian Co-chairs and members for leading this event and bringing cultural connections to our workplace. #ERGCommunity #MLBAsianERG #Diwali #MLBTogether

In celebration of #WorldKindnessDay, the MLB Black Employee Resource Group embraced the spirit of kindness and compassion. This year’s event was especially meaningful as they honored the legacy of Billy Bean and his powerful message to “Be Kind.” The MLB Black ERG partnered with Red Door Community, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free emotional and educational support to individuals and families affected by cancer. Together, they raised awareness and provided our colleagues with tools to support those impacted in meaningful ways. A special thank you to our co-chairs, Karen A., Ashley Britt, MBA, and Jalen Burks. #BeKind #StrongerTogether #MLBTogether

This April, Major League Baseball celebrated the Grand Opening of MLB x TDC's newest west coast office in El Segundo, CA. The 17,000 square foot space was designed with JRM Construction Management West, CBRE and Corgan who provided architecture and brand consulting expertise. This office served all of Major League Baseball throughout the 2024 season and was a perfectly positioned home base to support the League during the Los Angeles Dodgers' World Series championship run. Earlier this week MLB's Design team placed the finishing touches on the new office, which features elements including a wall paying homage to retro baseball tickets and mirrioring the unique baseball elements of the League's headquarters in New York City.

In honor of Veterans Day, here’s a recap of an incredible Veterans Day event hosted by MLB NETWORK, the MVP (Military Veterans Professionals) ERG (Employee Resource Group), MLB DEI and Human Resources Teams, and American Corporate Partners (ACP)! On November 11th, we welcomed 15 ACP Veterans to the MLB Network Headquarters in Secaucus, NJ for an inspiring morning of career development and networking. From interactive workshops to engaging discussions with MLB and federal professionals, the event was a powerful opportunity to share insights, build connections, and celebrate the dedication and skills our veterans bring to the workforce. Witnessing their enthusiasm and exchanging experiences was truly moving. A huge thank you to all the veterans who joined us, and for all involved for making this event a success. We’re proud to continue supporting those who have served our country and look forward to more meaningful engagements in the future. #VeteransDay #CareerDevelopment #ACP #MLBMVPERG #VeteranSupport

On Thursday, October 24, we honored our colleague Billy Bean by walking with the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light the Night Manhattan campaign. Led by the MLB Women ERG, about 30 employees gathered to walk and raise yellow lanterns in honor of Billy and his powerful legacy. Our team raised nearly $20,000 to help fund lifesaving research, advocacy and support for blood cancer patients and their families. Thank you to everyone who supported our team, Especially MLB Women Co-chairs Ariana Smith, Isabel Caro, and Erin Kessler in their efforts to honor Billy and support those with all forms of blood cancers.

Here is the first part of a series to share some of the best #MLBTogether moments of this past #MLB season. In a terrific collaboration between MLB, New York Life Insurance Company and Girl Scouts of Greater New York, kids from Girl Scouts Troop 6000 out of Staten Island attended their first ever Major League Baseball game at Yankee Stadium. #FirstGameCertificate

Ahead of Game Three of the World Series presented by Capital One, Major League Baseball together with the New York Yankees hosted a World Series Legacy event at ONE WORLD MIDDLE SCHOOL AT EDENWALD in the Bronx. Through MLB Together, and combined with matching funds from the Yankees Foundation, $50,000 will be provided to One World Middle School to create a sensory-safe space at the school to serve all students, including those who are neurodivergent. Students were joined by the 2024 Roberto Clemente Award recipient, Salvador Perez, former Yankees All-Star pitcher Dellin Betances, Luis Clemente and Roberto Clemente Jr., to celebrate the announcement of this new space and the recognition of students. The New York Yankees established a relationship with One World Middle School earlier this year to collaborate on the redesign of a sensory room at Yankee Stadium, which opened officially during Game One of the ALDS. The goal of this space was to create greater access for baseball fans whose neurodivergence or other needs might make the stimulation of the stadium difficult to navigate. Ambassadors of the NEST program from One World Middle School, along with their families and some of their teachers, helped to create the vision and development of this space which can now be utilized within Yankee Stadium. #MLBTogether

Prior to Game One of the World Series presented by Capital One, we had the privilege to work together with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and the Catching Hope Foundation to host a World Series Legacy event at Clifford Elementary School in Los Angeles. Through the MLB Together platform, the group unveiled a renovated outdoor common area to inspire students to read, learn, and find serenity in this outdoor learning environment. In addition to the physical transformation of the space, 200 new books were added to the outdoor literacy space and school library. Additionally, every student at the school went home with four new books to add to their own home library. To maximize the impact of this legacy initiative, the Dodgers, Dodgers Foundation and Catching Hope Foundation have committed to matching MLB legacy project funds and committing to two additional legacy literacy corner renovations, which will be unveiled in 2025. #MLBTogether #LAReads #FallClassic #WorldSeries
