Today, the Atlanta Braves traveled to Douglasville for the year’s final Home Plate Project presented by Chick-fil-A Restaurants! In just two hours, we distributed fresh produce and frozen protein to more than 1,300 individuals. In 2024, the Braves, Chick-fil-A, and community partners provided an estimated 109,362 pounds of food across eight counties in metro Atlanta through the Home Plate Project!

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, the Atlanta Braves Foundation is providing support to local non-profit organizations to help with clean-up efforts and food security. To begin with, the Atlanta Braves are providing a $20,000 donation to Team Rubicon. Since 2021, the Braves have partnered with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Over the course of the partnership, Team Rubicon has served more than 4,000 members of Braves Country in need. The Atlanta Braves Foundation is also supporting three local food banks, focused on providing necessary items and food to families affected by the hurricane: - $10,000 donation to the Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta, GA - $10,000 donation to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC in Raleigh, NC - $10,000 donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee outside of Knoxville, TN All donations made on Braves.com/give through October 7th will be directed towards Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Our hearts are with all those in Braves Country impacted by the storm.
