Sony Electronics is known for creating products that have innovated and inspired music listeners for three generations and counting, which can be seen with the launch of their “For the Music” campaign, a strategic initiative designed to celebrate the bond between music creators and their listeners. To build awareness around the campaign, Sony worked with Tinuiti to find a new way to reach customers beyond the traditional realms of video and display advertising. Google has rolled out an A/B testing feature for its AI-powered ad-serving tool Performance Max, giving brands more transparent ways to test the tool. "One of the reasons why a lot of clients were not wanting to adopt Performance Max [is because] it was very black box," said Tinuiti's Michelle Merklin to Trishla Ostwal at ADWEEK. "There wasn’t the ability to understand the impact of making changes within a Pmax campaign." Merklin goes on to say that the new feature offers a clearer understanding of how changes impact performance while accounting for external variables like seasonality.
