Symplatform is the place where academic knowledge meets the practice world to foster a critical discussion on what platforms are, how they work and what they can become for people, organizations and our society. This year, for its fifth edition, Symplatform was held at Politecnico di Milano, in its Lecco Campus, welcoming 100 people (digitally and physically) to discuss the relevant research and professional trends in the field of platforms, among which circular platforms, blockchain and AI. The conference is a joint project founded by Daniel Trabucchi, Tommaso Buganza, Laurent Muzellec and Sébastien Ronteau. 

🚀 Now Live: Special Issue on Technology-Enabled Multi-Sided Platforms in B2B Settings ❗ 💡 After 2 years, Daniel Trabucchi, Tommaso Buganza, Laurent Muzellec, Sébastien Ronteau, and I are excited to announce the release of our special issue volume in Industrial Marketing Management, titled "Technology-Enabled Multi-Sided Platforms in B2B Settings: Challenges and Opportunities for Supply Chain Ecosystems." This collection of cutting-edge research explores how multi-sided platforms (MSPs) are transforming B2B relationships and supply chains, offering both unique challenges and vast opportunities. 📄 Our conceptual editorial, "Technology-Enabled Multi-Sided Platforms in B2B Relationships: A Critical Analysis and Directions for Future Research," sets the stage by critically analyzing the transformative potential of MSPs in the supply chain ecosystem. It highlights three key roles these platforms play: enabling collaboration, enhancing processes, and supporting business transformation, as well as discussing critical themes such as power dynamics, resource optimization, and resilience. 📕 Featured articles cover a range of crucial topics, including value creation through data-centric platforms, the transition from value chains to value networks, and the implications of platform adoption on ESG performance and business model innovation.
