Barry O'Donohoe - great to have your support in sharing important learnings on API security from Brazil, UK and other markets where the expertise has been honed, to many countries in LATAM developing an #OpenFinance agenda! Thanks for chairing the Security roundtable discussions.
What an incredible three days of insights and discussions at last week’s Finance of Tomorrow event in Rio de Janeiro! The event sparked conversations on a wide range of industry-impacting topics, including financial inclusion, tokenisation, carbon markets, AI, digital identity, data privacy, and the future of financial regulation. The Raidiam team, represented by Christian Eloysio, Erick Domingues, and our CEO Barry O'Donohoe - who moderated one of the event's sessions - had the opportunity to engage with central bankers, fintech leaders, and regulators. The summit attracted some of the most influential figures in the Financial Services sector from Brazil and beyond, with representatives from key regulatory bodies such as: 🇧🇷 Banco Central do Brasil, CVM, and SUSEP - Superintendência de Seguros Privados 🇬🇧 Financial Conduct Authority 🇨🇴 Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia 🇦🇷 BCRA 🇨🇱 Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF) 🇲🇽 Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público 🇺🇾 Banco Central del Uruguay 🇧🇴 Banco Central de Bolivia Alongside these regulatory bodies, leaders from the private sector shared their expertise, fostering a collaborative environment where public and private sectors could jointly explore the future of finance in the region. A major focus of the event was Open Finance, with in-depth sessions on customer benefits, programme scaling, and more. The Deep Dive session on API Security in Open Payments and Open Data - which was moderated by Barry - offered valuable insights on FAPI, certification, and interoperability from panellists Joseph Heenan, Elcio Pedro Calefi Junior, Daniel Santana, Alessandra Monteiro Martins, and Sarah Nur. Congratulations to Potion for organising this exceptional event, and to the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade teams in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia for facilitating the participation of key financial sector regulators from across the region. #FinanceOfTomorrow #OpenFinance #FinancialServices | OpenID Foundation
