  • During the past week in Bangkok, OpenGradient led discussions on the evolving landscape of AI and decentralized technology. Some of the highlights included: Web3 Evolution Summit: OpenGradient’s flagship event (co-hosted by Pond, Lit Protocol, and Kite AI, sponsored by Protocol Labs and Nuffle Labs) attended by thought leaders, industry experts, and developers from 19 countries. OpenGradient’s CTO, Adam B., moderated an insightful panel on the potential of Restaking for AI. The session featured industry experts from Nuffle Labs, Peri Labs, and Eigen Layer, exchanging ideas on decentralized AI and the future of this technology. Open AGI Summit: OpenGradient’s CEO, Matthew Wang, joined a panel to discuss the balance between centralized and decentralized computing for AI development. The talk sparked thoughts on the infrastructure needed for a resilient, open AI ecosystem. Open Source AI Summit: Matthew Wang also debated at the Open Source AI Summit on the intriguing question, “Will humans control AI agents, or will AI agents control humans?” This discussion addressed the societal impacts and control dynamics in the age of intelligent systems.

  • 🚅 Optimizing Dynamic AMM Fees with Machine Learning ⚡️ The OpenGradient team is excited to publish its latest research on leveraging ML models for optimizing AMM trading fees. Led by Nathan Burton, the OpenGradient research team delves into fascinating research on how risk forecasts from machine learning models can be used to dynamically adjust trading fees for traditional Automated Market Maker (AMM) protocols to ultimately improve profitability for liquidity providers (+18% in our simulations). This research explores how shifting from static, fixed fee systems to dynamic fee systems can help better align incentives of liquidity providers with market volatility and perceived market risk. By adjusting fees in real-time with ML models powered by OpenGradient’s infrastructure, AMMs could offer a smarter, more sustainable approach to decentralized finance protocols. This research piece is a step forward in demonstrating how secure AI inference can redefine DeFi’s potential through systematic optimization.
