Last week, Mendaera, Inc. secured $73 million in Series B funding, led by Threshold Ventures, with support from Lux Capital, PFM Health Sciences, and renowned medical robotics pioneer Fred Moll, founder of Intuitive Surgical and Auris Health.
Mendaera is redefining medical robotics with its innovative handheld interventional platform, which combines robotics, AI, real-time imaging, and virtual connectivity. Designed to be accessible across multiple specialties and care settings, the platform empowers healthcare providers to meet the rising demand for needle-based interventions with precision and efficiency.
Earlier this year, Mendaera expanded its capabilities by acquiring Avail Medsystems’ telepresence technology, enhancing its portfolio with advanced virtual connectivity solutions.
At LSI USA ‘24, Mendaera’s Co-Founder & CEO, Josh DeFonzo, sat down with Omar M. Khateeb, Founder of Khateeb & Co. and host of the State of Medtech podcast, for an in-depth interview. You can watch the full discussion on our website and YouTube channel.
Congratulations to Josh DeFonzo and the entire Mendaera team on this significant achievement and an impressive 2024 so far. We're excited to follow your continued success!
