We’re building quiet, all-electric aircraft to connect people like never before.
About us
Joby is a California-based company building quiet, all-electric aircraft to connect people like never before. Quiet as a conversation and with the ability to take off and land vertically, the Joby aircraft will change the way we move while reducing the acoustic and climate footprint of flight.

We've successfully completed a series of test flights in Korea as part of the K-UAM Grand Challenge, demonstrating a series of various flight profiles including fully wing-borne flight. A huge step towards launching commercial air taxi service in Korea! Read more about our participation in the K-UAM Grand Challenge alongside our 'Dream Team' partners SK Telecom, Hanwha Group, 티맵모빌리티 (TMAP MOBILITY) and Korea Airports Corporation (KAC, 한국공항공사). https://lnkd.in/esZbxzTQ

We’re pleased to share that we have checked two more items off our operations ‘pre-flight’ checklist: First, we received our Part 141 certificate from the FAA for Joby’s flight academy, enabling us to offer streamlined pilot training to develop a pipeline of qualified pilots in advance of commercial service. And second, we also received acceptance from the FAA for our Part 5 air operations voluntary Safety Management System, placing our Part 135 operation years ahead of the mandatory compliance deadline. https://lnkd.in/eBtXPNf5
