Nearly 2,500 students from member schools around the world weighed in on what they love about attending a girls’ school. We are so inspired by the shared community, empowerment, and joy girls feel in schools designed just for them. A heartfelt thank-you to the students who contributed such thoughtful reflections and to our member schools for their unwavering dedication to educating and advocating for girls. 🎨 beautifully illustrated by Jo Byrne of See Your Words

The ICGS Student Leadership Conference in Sydney, Australia, is more than an event—it’s a pivotal experience for young leaders in girls' schools worldwide. Students who attend leave with lessons that go beyond leadership in the traditional sense. As one participant shared, “Leadership encompasses so much more than directing a team—it’s about self-care, listening, communicating for others, thinking on your feet, and knowing how to compromise.” Here's how other attendees described the profound impact: ⭐ “Encouraged me to put myself out there more, be vulnerable, bold, and unafraid to make mistakes.” ⭐ “Fostered a sense of sisterhood and togetherness.” ⭐ “Built my confidence as a leader.” ⭐ “Changed my life.” With 100% of past participants rating the experience as valuable, this conference offers your students the opportunity to engage in inspiring workshops, build lifelong connections with peers from leading girls' schools, and develop leadership skills that will serve them for years to come. The deadline to register is this Friday, November 29. Ensure your students are part of this transformative journey! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gWtBEq9t

International Coalition of Girls' Schools reposted this
International Coalition of Girls' Schools (ICGS) is dedicated to elevating women’s leadership worldwide, empowering our students to become ethical, globally-minded changemakers. 🌍 It was an absolute privilege to be in Belfast last week, where I had the opportunity to meet with outstanding students and school leaders from girls’ schools across Northern Ireland. Together, we explored a wide range of important topics in collaboration with our member schools in North America. Highlights included hearing from Martha Perry, Principal of St. Clement's School, who shared insights into the transformative LINCWell programme—a holistic approach to student development that focuses on Learning, Individualization, Nurturing, Creativity, and Wellbeing. 🌱 We were also inspired by Julia Breen Wall, Head of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart and Marissa Muoio Ed. D. of the National Center for Girls' Leadership at Stuart who discussed their commitment to preparing young women for leadership roles by blending leadership theory with practical application. 🚀 Finally, the leadership team of Megan Weiskopf, Rachel Herlein, Ed.D, Toni Cordiano , Leslie Segal, and Grace Willer, PhD of Laurel School and its Center for Research on Girls (LCRG) gave us an understanding of their five pillars for building resilience by cultivating creativity, growth mindset, purpose, self-care and relationships. 🌟 A heartfelt thank you to the incredible students and colleagues who shared their time and talent during these discussions. My deepest gratitude to Karen Quinn of Victoria College Belfast for hosting us, and to Peter Dobbin of Assumption Grammar School and my wonderful colleague at ICGS Sharon Cromie for helping bring this enriching experience to life. It was an enlightening and empowering experience for everyone involved!
A special day at VCB 💫 Yesterday the College was delighted to host the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools Conference, where we welcomed students from Northern Ireland, Canada, and the U.S. via video link, with many of our SistersIn pupils attending throughout the day. We were thrilled to welcome Megan Murphy, Global Executive Director of the International Coalition of Girls Schools as the lead speaker, who took the opportunity to tour the school with our prefect team prior to the conference. This was a truly memorable day for all involved and we hope it has inspired our pupils as they take on their own individual leadership roles in the future. Many Thanks to Peter Dobbin for giving us the opportunity to act as host school, as our alumni Sharon Cromie, the UK regional director and SistersIN mentor, was able to join us. #internationalcoalitionofgirlsschools #leadership #femaleleaders #girlsschools #vcb #leadingleaders
