Here’s one key takeaway that hit me and Gosia Jaros-White hard as we headed back home after attending the National Summer Learning Association Summit this week: there’s no time for despair or fear. The challenges our kids face are real, but so is our collective power to overcome them. Yup, it’s time to exercise radical collaboration. We must mobilize passionately, tearing down silos and working together to create a future where all kids—regardless of their circumstances—can thrive. The positive energy at the summit was undeniable. For three days leaders, educators, policymakers, and advocates came together with one mission: to ensure every child has access to learning, opportunities, and fun. When we collaborate boldly and with purpose, we can eliminate barriers and inspire lasting change. It starts with showing up, speaking out, and taking action for the kids who need us the most. HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY Celebrating children’s day on November 14 is a beautiful way to honor the essence of life itself, as children represent hope, joy, and the continuity of humanity. Children are the embodiment of life’s purest form, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and wonder into our world. By celebrating them, we celebrate life itself and the ongoing cycle. This Children’s Day, as we celebrate the potential and promise of every child, let us not turn a blind eye to those who remain unseen—those out of school, malnourished, laboring in hardship. Who are we truly celebrating today? Not just the fortunate few, but every child whose life and dreams are sacred. Our commitment must go beyond mere celebration. We must stand with those who have been left behind, working tirelessly to make every child’s life valued and supported by society. This means moving past student-centered learning to build a life-centered society where every child counts, where empathy is taught not just as a lesson but as a way of life. Let us make empathy part of our core curriculum, planting the seeds of compassion and responsibility in young hearts. Let us engage year-round in sensitizing our children to the lives of those less privileged, teaching values that reach beyond textbooks. It’s time to create a national curriculum of action, one that fosters justice, inclusivity, and collective responsibility. This Children’s Day, may we not just celebrate, but commit—to a future where every child finds hope, dignity, and opportunity. A society where each child’s life is supreme. Dr. Farooq wasil

Education isn't just a path; it's the beacon guiding us toward a meaningful existence, evolving alongside us from chalkboards to AI. It's the key to navigating our rapidly changing world, allowing us to not just keep pace with progress, but to embrace it. While strides have been made toward gender equality in education, disparities persist, particularly in parts of India where, for some girls, attending school remains a distant dream rather than a reality. To truly advance, we must confront these inequalities head-on, ensuring education is a universal right, not a privilege. Empowering women isn't just about individual strength; it's about igniting a collective flame that lights the way for others. Let's be the catalysts for change, uplifting not only ourselves but our sisters as well. Note: Check out "Lapatta Ladies" on Netflix India a powerful testament to the dreams and struggles of women breaking free from societal norms. It's a journey worth experiencing, a reminder that our stories are interconnected, and our potential limitless when we stand together. #EducationForAll #EmpowerWomen #GenderEqualityInEducation #CollectiveEmpowerment #LapattaLadies #TogetherWeRise #InspireChange #EducateGirls
Every girl, regardless of her background, deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. In a country like ours, fueled by diversity, educated girls are the catalysts for innovation, adding their unique flair to the tapestry of progress. Forget about waiting for a hero – educated girls are the architects of their destiny, building bridges to success with knowledge as their foundation. By supporting our monthly mission cause - Every Girl in School, you're ensuring that every girl has the chance to reach her full potential and change the world. - https://lnkd.in/dggKXQau

🌍✨ Today is International Stuttering Awareness Day – a day to raise awareness and support for people who stutter, initiated by the International Stuttering Association (ISA). The first annual celebration was held in the UK and Ireland, in 1998. Stuttering does not define a person's communication ability. When we truly listen, we provide individuals space to express themselves, fostering understanding, empathy, and stronger connections. In celebration of International Stuttering Awareness Day, we want to share an important message, that the ability to listen is vital in education. For students who stutter, having the freedom to speak at their own pace fosters an environment of respect and confidence, empowering them to engage fully in learning. This support helps students unlock their potential, proving that every voice matters, no matter how it flows. Let’s all work together to create more inclusive spaces where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered to share their story. #InternationalStutteringAwarenessDay #ListenToUnderstand #EffectiveCommunication #InclusiveEducation
