"But they can’t solve everything. In fact, the GLP-1 phenomenon is making the fragmentation and dysfunction of our health care system even more apparent. Just as GLP-1s may help us discover the common denominator in seemingly disparate diseases, they are shining a bright light on the root causes of the health care system’s ills." GLP-1s could be a game-changer, addressing underlying causes like inflammation and reshaping how we approach chronic diseases. Yet, their popularity highlights deeper issues in our healthcare system: 💰 Cost Crisis: At up to $15,000/year, GLP-1s are putting pressure on employers and the entire healthcare ecosystem.
