Glimpse on set at such a cool location with our team and friends NORTH SIX, shooting for a fall campaign coming soon...
Hugo & Marie is a multi-disciplinary, independently owned creative studio. We work with businesses to create visual worlds and logos, craft brand strategy and tone of voice, design websites, and direct and produce campaigns. We solve both large and small creative challenges by providing elegant ideas and execution to meet both brand and business needs. We believe that a unique point of view must be the soul of any business, and that beauty and joy should be at the heart of any brand. No longer the mirrors of culture, the best contemporary brands are the makers of it. We help transform brands into platforms to inspire, engage and expand their audience - creating value for decades, not seasons. We do this by leading you in unexplored directions, discovering your passions and inspirations, and using these to create something beautiful.

Earlier this year we worked with Girlfriend Collective to reposition, restrategize and rebrand—a company with a wonderful product, and distinct vision. Our new identity for the brand is a brand assertion of purpose that brings a new playfulness to the fore without sacrificing the brand's core environmental and inclusive principles. We worked with the brand across strategy, tone of voice, brand identity, art direction and web design. Take a look at our showcase here: https://lnkd.in/eG9b7MU2
Helium 06: Soft Boys? Our must recent dispatch considers the sometimes confining nature of masculinity, written by our Senior Creative Michael Whitham.
How wonderful to see two clients collaborate—FFORME is now available through elysewalker! We worked with elysewalker to launch the brand's e-commerce platform, translating the brand's brick-and-mortar success to the digital sphere. We also collaborated across branding, tone of voice, and art direction for campaign and web. We worked with FFORME to build a digital flagship for the new brand, develop and deploy a thoughtful, nuanced tone of voice, and consulted on art direction and strategy through launch. https://lnkd.in/gc-k2Hrk
We are proud to debut three short films commissioned by Clinique, illuminating the brand’s heritage, safety philosophy and formulation approach. An undisputed icon of the American beauty industry, Clinique has been pioneer in dermatologist-led skincare and makeup since its founding in 1967, paving the way for the industry as we know it. From laboratory field trips to adventures in the ELC archive, our team spent months learning about Clinique’s fascinating history, vision and commitment to innovation. Our films were a combination of on-set capture and archival footage, resurfacing historic Clinique motifs with a contemporary finish. Girlfriend Collective sought a creative partner to help reposition, restrategize and redesign. Founded on sustainability, inclusivity and approachability, Girlfriend Collective had found that what were once their differentiators had become industry table stakes. Without losing their progressive DNA, the brand wanted to push a new vision, reaffirming their claim in the space. The new Girlfriend Collective identity is a bold assertion of purpose. We have been honored working with Saint Laurent since 2016. We've worked across conceptual direction, website design, brand tone of voice and messaging, and designing the brand's first mobile application. Saint Laurent's application reflects the brand's signature refinement and precision, an invitation to explore the brand's world in a quick immersive way. We worked closely with the brand's team on the full user experience from user journey workshops to design sprints and QA.
With the Paris Olympics about to kickoff, we've been reflecting on some previous work we did for the occasion. After working with Nike on the Olympics in 2016, the brand asked us to consult on work for the 2020 Olympics. While the work never debuted because of COVID, we've enjoyed taking a look in the last few weeks.
In the last year, we've been thinking about strategy. Read some consolidated thoughts from Design Director Fanny Nordmark and Senior Creative and Producer Michael Whitham here. Originally delivered as part of a presentation at OFFF Seville.
